Sunday's Play...

My daughter Angie and I went to see the play, "Of Mice and Men" . Our community theater gave it at the high school auditorium. Great sound system there. It was an enjoyable play.
When we first sat down, everything was fine, until someone came in who had bathed in their perfume. I told Angie, please let's move, that perfume was over powering.  We did.
It was so cold here yesterday . I didn't even go into Angie's house after the play, but came straight home to get warm. Never did feel warm till bedtime.
This is the bit of sun that came back just as the sun was setting. The skies were pink and lavender, with a orangy swath at the horizon.  Hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patty's Day.  xo

  1. Very pretty sky. Glad you could move away from the perfume at the play. Perfume gives me a headache!
    Have a wonderful day.

    1. I did not want to hurt anyone's feelings or make them mad...but I had to think of myself. I would have been distracted.xoxo,Susie

  2. Glad you enjoyed the play! There are many people who are allergic to the aroma of perfume. I know that many choir directors request that their singers not wear it. Lovely sunset. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you! xo Nellie

  3. Pink and lavender....ahhh! How pretty! And I'm the same way. It gives me a headache to smell strong perfume. How rude of people! Looks like a good play though! Enjoy your day! Hugs!

  5. Happy you got to see the play but onions to the one who wore the overkill perfume. I cannot be around it either. A little goes a long way! I only stepped out once yesterday and that was enough. It was so cold and we were so thankful we hit the clinic on Sat when it was so nice! Have good day!

  9. Beautiful picture..I haven't seen that play for years..People who wear perfume should be considerate of others...or take a bath instead :)

  10. such amazing photos, ,, sorry the perfume ruined your play, if people would only think of others, they must have impaired sense of smell if they think they smell good!!

  11. So glad you got to see the play without the perfume. I work with someone who takes a bath in her perfume. Why? My doctor has a sign in his office asking people not to wear perfume because of allergies.

That was a gorgeous sunset. Wow!

  12. Your sunset is just gorgeous! I know just what you mean about smelly perfume, good thing you moved! It can give me a headache! Guess some people just don't get the "use sparingly" part!!

  13. As you may know (or not) my son, Pat, was in that play some years ago when he was in college. I have also read the book several times and all the works of John Stienbeck that I could lay my hands on. He was a great, great writer.

Soap and bathpowder are the limit of my sweet smells. :) I would have moved too. I do hope you enjoyed the play.
If there is anything that is upsetting to me, it's being cold. I once visited a friend in Connecticut and was miserable the entire visit. No matter how many quilts she piled on me, I suffered. Even being in her home was uncomfortable.
I cannot function if I am cold.
And your sunset ends a nice post..:)
