Got To Get Out...

I am going to get this man out of the shop, dust him off, and we are going to lunch today. LOL. I just want to do anything besides chores today. Plan on going to kohl's with my 30 % off coupon.  I need a new summer purse. ...since my style and tastes has changed, I go for a smaller purse . No more bowling ball sized bags for me.
Ted will be taking a fishing trip soon. He will be looking at lures and such at Walmart.  He has been in the shop going through his tackle boxes. Plus a big supply of Wet-Ones for wiping his hands. Check for snake bite kits too. He fishes Reelfoot Lake  in Tennessee.  Lots of snakes there.
It's another cloudy, rainy day here. I am so ready for sunshine. Hope you are having a good day. XO

  1. Hi Susie,
I think a day out with the hubby is perfect. Enjoy. We actually are seeing some sun up north here. Still chilly but at least the sun is out.
    Have a great day.

  2. Enjoy your day, it's good to get out every now and then. We are picking up my grandson after his last College class today and taking him out to dinner. Going to be cold this weekend so we'll enjoy what we are blessed with.

  5. Susie, I can't wait til my husband retires so we can do things together every day. You're so lucky that Ted goes shopping with you. And he's a fisherman? - I didn't know that. My husband loves the wilderness and would love a shop like Ted has. Our home is small, so not a big garage area, but he has been enjoying planting his garden. I hope you had a great day outdoors, Susie.

  8. Hi Susie, I'm afraid to say I still use a medium size purse; bought a huge one last summer but didn't use it too long-it was just too big. Glad you hubby will get to go fishing; does Tenn. have Water Moccasins like Mississippi does? I would be frightened of those. Hope you have a great Friday.

    1. Noreen, I waited till the last minute to look for a purse..so I still did not get one. I like a shoulder strap also. Yes, there are water moccasins at Reelfoot...you can not fish under any tree limbs hanging down or get near the duck blinds that are on the lake....the snakes can drop into your boat. They are an aggressive snake, is what I have heard. Scary. Hope we get some nicer weather soon. ..may have some snow tomorrow. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  9. I'm laughing at "dusting him off.":-) It sounds like you may have a touch of spring fever! I'd not be too excited to fish among snakes! xo Nellie

  11. My buddy and I used to own a small boat together then he moved to Cape Cod and I would make weekend trips down and we would sit on one of the many ponds down there and just have a blast. That was over 30 years ago. yikes! I do miss it. Never thought about snakes though since we were on the water. Well there were the human snakes.

    1. Boston Boy, I used to be a darn good fisherman myself. I once caught a 20 inch, 4 pound small mouth bass. The biggest fish I ever caught was a 35 pound amberjack in the gulf. I haven't been fishing in 25 years myself. We used to say, "A bad day fishing, beats a good day at work . "LOL Blessings, xoxo,Susie
