Spring Break...

This week has been spring break for my three grandkids still in school.  Emma went to Hilton Head  with her parents. That fair skinned girl. She sent me a photo of her on the beach, I told her , do not forget your suns screen.!!!
Savannah and Skylar will be going to Chicago with their parents for a day trip.  They are planning a summer vacation, so no real spring break vacation.
My daughter Angie will have spring break in a couple weeks. This year with a wedding this summer, she has decided to not go to Florida. So she and I will have a day of shopping , with lunch. Plus we are going to take a big donation to Goodwill.
These photos are from my trip to Horton's this past Saturday. It's the only place I have been lately.
Hope all of you are having a good week..XO

    1. Diana, When my daughter Angie's school has spring break and she has no where to go...she and I will take a load of stuff to Goodwill. Then we shop a few stores and have lunch together. It is always fun for us. She's been calling me me "BIg E"....from the movie Gray Gardens...where two socialites lose their minds and live together with cats. This is a true story. I have just got to get that movie. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  3. I hope you got that all wrote down! You have a lot to keep up with. Our spring break was last week. The college is back to normal now, but it sure is nice when they are gone. Lines are shorter.
With Horton's, you really don't need anywhere else to go. Love all the items you shot!
We had lightening and thunder here last night- beats snow. Cloudy now for 3-4 days here and just too chilly to be out for long periods. Its kind of penetrates after a bit. Hoping our weekend is warmer!

    1. Tete, That's why I always have plenty of photos from Horton's. ...it's a fun place to shop. I asked to take pictures. I want to buy some of the chalk paint for some projects this summer. I will buy some pansies from them also. Yes, I am so ready for real spring temperatures and sunny days. We need to clean around outside more. I loved your scarecrow's new duds. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. I adore butterflies. I want to plant a wild flower bed this year....I tried last year and I would swear the package just had the paper stuff and no seeds. ! Because only 3 flower grew in that garden 2x8 feet. Hope you are getting to hike lots. I am dying to walk around our park with my sisters. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. I, too, worry about my great nieces and their fair skin. Hard to make them understand the damage the sun can do.
I sure would love to visit Horton's with you. You share the most wonderful things for the home.
Blessings to you sweet friend. xoxo Mildred

    1. I wish everyone could come along to Horton's...especially in summer and fall...they have many more venders then. Our sun is different than when we were young. Kids need to know to reapply sunscreen when they are swimming. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Susie, You have been on my mind lately. My daughter Karen is getting her thyroid out in May. Her twin sister Liz had cancer of the thyroid and had it removed... So my other two daughters have theirs scanned every year. I guess those problems can run in families. I truly pray you are doing better and getting your meds adjusted. Love you too , xoxo,Susie

  8. My kids will be on Spring break soon but we're not planning on going anywhere. We have a big summer vacation planned for the end of May instead. I'm very light skinned too. Sunscreen is a MUST!

    1. Kelly, That is why one daughter just took a day trip to Chicago with her family. My poor Liz texted me photos of them wearing their coats while in S.C. ...nothing worse than wearing a coat when you expected warm weather. Well at least Emma 's transparent skin is safe. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. Our Spring Break is next week. The whole village leaves. It still seems like we should be going somewhere. I was going to go out to Colorado but we decided that it's not a good time. My grandkids wear those shirts with the protection when they are at the beach. Well worth the money.
Have a good time shopping and dining out. I am ready for spring too. It was 70 here today with high winds and rain. Two days ago it snowed about three inches. Lol

  13. ooooo, I love those butterfly glass jars, Susie. I think I would have bought one of those for myself. It sounds like you will be doing lots of things this spring. Jess and Nel will be here in a couple weeks for Easter and the whole family will be together. Looking forward to it. Enjoy the shopping at Horton's. I enjoy seeing all the goodies there, and wish I had a charming shop like that here. :~)
