Vacations.....

Max is away on vacation in Florida.
Luke went along to keep him company. This hat is so funny on him.  He wasn't allowed in the sun, I am sure.
Max is really walking the beach. I laugh, wondering if he is watching his shadow or enjoying the sand on his shoes. The boys are in Florida with their parents ( Lynzie & Mark), an aunt and uncle , and cousins.
Grandma Gigi went with her sister Angie to Tampa to spend some time with Sierra (Angie's daughter).  Everyone is cramming in some vacation days of fun and play. Emma stayed home with her father to go to Kings' Island.

This is Savannah, Jeff (dad) , Skylar and Maisy (Skylar's Girlfriend) They went to King's Island, an amusement park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Skylar , Maisy, and Savannah hanging around a dinosaur. Some statues in the park.
Savannah, Karen (my daughter), Skylar, and Maisy.
This looks like a T-Rex....Honestly if I came across this in the trees, I would probably jump. I think Karen's family totally enjoyed their two days in Cincinnati.
Daughter Kathy had a day trip to Lake Michigan. Sorry, I forgot to post her picture. So all my daughters are  squeezing in some fun times before school starts . The grandkids have had some fun days away also.
I am bummed, I only got to go to the dentist today. Had x-rays and a cleaning. Then the dentist came in to check...and says," There's a crown that needs to be taken off and replaced."  Gaaaaa...why?? I know some of you remember my sensitive root canal of last year. It finally stopped hurting after a second root canal on the same tooth.  But then again I do not eat on that side if I can help it. Two more days in the dentist chair this month of August. :(
Wishing all of you some fun days this month. Our state fair is starting soon. XO

  1. Oh big bummer about the crown. I know the feeling. What cutie pies at the beach. And everybody is having a good time before summer is over and school starts up. Hopefully the cute pics of Max and Luke will cheer you up a little.

  2. Oh no, what a bummer! All the rest of the family is living it up with vacations here and there and you're stuck in the dentist's chair. Something's very wrong with that picture! So sorry. And to add insult to injury, the dentist is so expensive! It would have been nice to be able to spend that money on a little getaway, wouldn't it. :-((

    1. Judy, When our company tried to cut back on our health insurance we were given the option of carrying Cobra for vision and dental. I took it and will never let it go..it's a monthly payment of 50 dollars..but iwht my dental problems I need it. My worry is why do I keep getting cavities , when the girl that cleans my teeth brags on how clean they always are and she doesn't have to scrap much . Oh yes, going on any get away would be so much sweeter than the dentist chair. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Hey I can sympathize with you. I have a temporary crown on a tooth right now. And just had laser surgery on my eye, again, for another retina tear. AUGH! I would much rather be on a beach, or hiding from dinosaurs, or going on a roller coaster with my hands in the air!!!!

    1. Cindy, I have been wondering what happened to your tooth that was sensitive. Retina tears is scary. I will be having a cataract surgery some time...if I can get the courage. LOL. I need it I want my vision back to normal. I can't do fun rides any more. Bless you, hope you get that tooth fixed for good too. :) xoxo, Susie

    1. Pilar, Congratulations on your blogging. I do hate to go to the dentist office, I try to take very good care...but for some reason, I just keep having issues with my teeth. I hope our August is a great one...for me that would be low humidity. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. Sorry that you are having dental woes...I hate going to dentists and doctors. It's hard to believe that it's almost time for the State Fair and schools will be starting before we know it. Cute photos of your vacationing family!

  8. Susie, I don't think I've ever seen Luke when he's not smiling. He is the most precious baby. And Max is having a great time on the beach - children seem to love the sand. That T-Rex at the amusement park must have been a sight for the grandkids. Yes, all the teachers and kids are trying to do fun things before school starts. I don't blame them, they work so hard. I'm so sorry you have to get a second root canal, Susie. Dental work makes me nervous, and I had some done this year as well.

Have a nice Friday and weekend.

    love, ~Sheri

Oh those darn dental problems. I just don't seem to get a break any more with my teeth. I brush, floss, and use an anti cavity rinse...still have problems. When the time comes, I'll be ready for dentures. LOL. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie

  12. Dentists. Ugh. I'll have to have some major work done this fall on a tooth that has bone loss. Not looking forward to that! Hope your dental work doesn't create a lot of discomfort for you. xo
