Weekend, Cool Outside....

This was the sky last night as the sun set. It was a cold windy day here yesterday. This Saturday morning it's 58 degrees as I get this post together.
Some sun as evening arrives, Friday.
This was Thursday. Heavy rains for about 20 minutes. Thunder during the night. Our lawn needed the rain.  The corn across the road is about 9 feet tall now.
And Mr. Big is still walking the beach. LOL.
Max with his mommy. I wonder where he got that sweet smile. :):)
Max's baby brother Luke....ready to take on the world. The children will be home soon from their Florida vacation. I need some hugs from the babies.:):)
Grandma Gigi will be home also this weekend.  This is Sierra, with her mom, Angie, and aunt Lizzy(Gigi to Max and Luke)  Angie and Liz will be home this weekend...school starts this coming week in our area.
Emma and her dad Matt, went to King's Island in Cincinnati...for a day of play. They are riding the Beast roller coaster, sitting in front here.....it almost proved to be too much for Matt.  Emma said he was a bit queasy after that ride.
While others play and have fun...I look at pinterest. LOL  I found the perfect shirt for me.  Well yes, please, Make me coffee and take me junkin'.  So me. The company selling this was (ducttapeanddenim)
This is the beach at Lake Michigan , where Kathy went one day this week and is heading back this weekend.  Kathy must have been a fish in another life...she is lured to the water.

This is my vacation spot... The dentist office.  I go back twice this month, to have one crown removed, the tooth prepped and a new crown put on......Someone has to help pay for this ugly furniture. LOL. Honestly it's always clean at my dentist, but zzzzz....till I hear that drill. I can get goose bumps on my scalp just hearing that drill.
Hope all of you are having a beautiful weekend. XO

  4. Isn't this COOOOL fabulous?? All doors and windows open, and I could smell the scent of FALL last night when the scent of the neighbors' fire-pit drifted in through the screens.

    1. Rachel, I love it being cooler. But when I step out < I was not expecting it to feel so cold...low 50's. I need it to get some chores done outside. There's trees in town turning. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  6. It was chilly here this morning, too. Low 50s...but is warming up now. We have more showers coming later today they say.

I am glad the kids will be home from vacation to give you some love. I miss my kids when they are gone, too-especially my SweetCbeeks that spent so much time with us when she was little and mama worked.

I am sorry you have to 'vacation' in the dentist's office for the next few weeks. ugh- I could think of a lot more pleasant things to do. I have to go have some work done, too, but have been putting it off.

Have a great weekend, Susie. xo Diana

    1. Diana, I am always happy my children can go on vacations and have fun days away from work and home...but I am happy for them to return home too. I just would have us all live in one big old house if I could....I must be nuts.
I almost fear when the dental asst. gets that pick thing out and starts digging around...I just know they are looking for something to fiddle with. LOL. Blessings, hope you had a good weekend. xoxo, Susie

  7. Your dentist's office does NOT look very inviting! I hope you get in and out quickly! Love the cute family photos and it's hard to believe you said the word COLD! It's so hot and humid here right now! Hugs!

    1. Diane, I know, I think it's boring in the lobby...plus you can hear the girls calling other patients and talking to them..which I find annoying. A lot of my family when to your state to vacation...they all had fun. I hope you get some cooler weather too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. 58!!!!! Wow, wouldn't I love some of that down here. It's so hot! And we need rain, too. Your Max and Luke are so adorable, I can't blame you for being ready for them to come back. Bless your heart on the dentist visits. That's no fun. Seems like it's been that way for us this summer too, spending time in the doctors' offices while everybody else is off somewhere. Haha!

I am ready to hugs all my babies. My daughter Liz did stop by on her way home from her sisters...she had parked at Angie and came by to give me hugs. I told to get home and rest before Monday. LOL. She wanted to get home to her family. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Gert, I think our weather patterns are changing and the highs and lows are becoming record breakers. I hope you get some rain there...but I see on the map that it's going thru Texas to the East coast. You know Gert, at my age and all the things I do to keep my teeth in good shape...to still have to spend time and money at the dentist, kind of makes me mad. Makes me question anything they say.Thank you for the good wishes. Bless you.Love, xoxo, Susie

  12. Wow that corn is really tall! We got a lot of rain last week. I am shocked that your schools start next week! Traditionally in Michigan we don't start until the day after Labor Day but this year they are allowing schools to opt out of that and start earlier if they want. I hope all goes well at the dentist- not a place we love to be is it!

    1. Liz, My three grandkids that are still in school , went this morning. Boy I hope they got to bed early.:):) We never went back till after Labor day when I went to school. I think the kids get more vaction days throughout the year, may be why they go back early. Oh yes, the dentist chair is a torture place for me..I just get too worked up with my nerves. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  14. That is the sweetest picture of Max and his mommy, and also precious Luke. He's smiling again. : ) And a cute picture of the three girls. I love that t-shirt, it really reminds me of you. Susie, your lawn always makes my heart sing. It's so nice and kept up, and with a little rain on the lawn, it looks even prettier. I am wishing you well with your dental work coming up.
