Fun & Hugs.....

Ted and I had a fun afternoon at my daughter Liz's.  She had invited her children and grandbabies to a late lunch. Here's Layla, me and Max , sitting on the hearth. I was giving them fruit gummies.  Had to separate them. LOL.
Little Luke shows up and I kissed his bare toes. I told Lynzie, his mommy, that his toes were salty. She reminded me that is because of his cystic fibrosis.  Even with salty toes, he is adorably sweet.
Max was pretending he did not know me.  Probably doesn't see me enough. :):) Here's his mommy, Lynzie, holding him for a bit. As he grows into a toddler, he's  still is a baby boy and needs held .
Uncle Brock, Lynzie's brother, gets to hold Luke . Brock is a great father to his sweet daughter Layla.   I am proud of the wonderful parents my grandchild have become.
Had to slip in this photo of Luke with bed head hair. LOL.
Teddy Bear had Ozzy the cat keeping him company in the yard.  Of course Sam, the dog, was also around....but I could not get a good photo of him.  The pets like lots of attention , just like the little ones. It's so funny. Sam and Ozzy will actually paw at your hands to be petted.
I enjoyed every moment of being with the children. Emma was there also. Thirteen is a fussy age. She didn't feel well and  did not want her picture taken. But I honestly think it's more her age than her allergies. :):) Miss her being my little crafting pal.
Wishing the nation peace and love. XO

    1. Cheryl, I have to watch myself not to cry every time I see the children...it makes me sad to see their growth, as if I am missing too much of their lives. I am just like my mom ...she was weepy around the babies too. I think Ozzy the cat looked his best sitting on the arm of the chair by Ted. Blessings for a fun fall, xoxo, Susie

  15. What a wonderful time with your grandkids, Susie. That was sweet that you kissed Luke's toes. I love that hearth at Liz' house. It's so big, and lots of room for holiday decorations. This is a special picture of you next to the kids. Ted looks so relaxed sitting out there in the yard. He deserves it, he works so hard always on his own yard.

Fun times, Susie. I'm glad you got to spend time with the grandkids. They grow up so fast.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, This was a fun day....I needed it. I have had the blues missing my mom. She has been gone 11 years. It seems like just yesterday. So loving on my children and grandkids lifted my spirits. Ted will be mowing after this rain moves thru. LOL. We are both going to be staining the porch floor later next week. That is a job. Not for sissies. :):) Hope you got to be with your daughter . Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

  18. Susie, you are so blessed to be young enough to enjoy your children's grandchildren. I always loved kissing the babies toes and their sweet faces.
That is amazing to me that you are a great grandma and look so young. Little Luke is in that chubby stage and I remember being 13. Not always fun.

    1. Nonnie, The doctors told Lynzie to see that Luke got the best start in his life...so she nursed him and helped him gain weight. He will need it when it comes time to fight the C.F. Please remember him in your prayers. Thank you. I am trying to stay healthy, and wear lipstick. LOL. Lifting kids and playing with them wears me out. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  19. Susie, you missed me!! well touch my heart, thank u. It has been a busy and wild summer, my husband sold is building, closed his business and went to work with a company. He has never been home this much in 20yrs of marriage! It has been an adjustment for me, ha ha! in a good way. In the middle of writing a book on the history of my Grandmothers church. Seems no one read my blog too much. I get so I felt if you did not advertise, do a project all the time no one cared. But you did AND look at your comments so many you go girl. I see u got to meet Diana! wow. Well maybe I wil get back in the groove, thank you friend!!!!

    1. Thank you Ann for getting back to me. I am happy for your husband . Wow, I know what you mean about adjusting...retirement is not the big dream I often thought about. It's more paper work and Dr. visits... I wish you so much luck on writing the book...you certainly are good at history, especially of your family. I admire you for that and your treasure collecting and keeping. Diana was so fun and we hope to have more time together. Blessings to you, take care, xoxo, Susie
