Blue Skies...

We have been blessed with sunshine and blue skies the past few days. I am loving that sun.
Even when it's super cold out, seeing the sun gives me hope. It lifts my spirits.
Who doesn't love blue skies?  We have been having pretty days with some very cold temperatures. It was 18 below this morning. It will warm up to sixteen. In a couple days it may even reach 30....now we are talking warm up.
I have been checking blogs and lots of you are very good cooks. I used to be a decent cook, I am just lucky Ted isn't too picky. LOL I love making soups , stews, and one pot meals. I am retired and I sure didn't retire to cook and clean...although that is really what has happened.  Rats !!
Last year I only had a weekend vacation. Did not get to go anywhere for any length of time. I used to spend 10 days in Florida during winters. Now I stay here and shovel. This year in the autumn, I will be going to SLC.  My grandson will be getting married. So that will be my vacation also. I am so ready for a vacation.
Hope all of you have a pretty day today, and hopefully it's warmer than it is here. xo

  4. I am a sun person, too. Need my daily dose of it. We are bright and super cold here, too- but the warm up is coming! I don't get to go on vacations anymore. Too hard to travel. I don't miss it, though. LOL

  5. The sun does help. It is shining here. The temps are mostly below zero. I think they will get above freezing once this week-end. You need to take off a few days. I hope that happens for you soon. ((((HUGS))))

  6. It's only a little warmer here than where you are, but thankfully it's sunny and it's clear to walk. I enjoyed a mile walk and did a bunch of errands. Now one of my favorite parts of the day, visiting in BlogLand. Keep cozy!

  7. Time away always helps me appreciate home so much more, but we don't get away on vacations very often, either. Most of our going places involves visiting our daughters who live in other locations. I can tell you are happy to see the sunshine. xo Nellie

  8. It was very cold here today, too. The sun was very bright all day, so it was wonderful!! It puts a smile on people's faces when the sun shines.
Hang in there, sweet girl. Each day brings you closer to Spring.

  10. So happy you are having blue skies and sun. We experience blue skies and sun most days and despite the need for more rain, we savor each day.

  12. I'm not a huge cook either. I prefer to make casseroles and desserts. It's cold here today too but could be much worse. We're having a winter storm here, but not as bad as expected at my house. I'm relieved!
