Scary Night.....

We can see our walkways today...lots of melting yesterday with all the rain and temperatures.
Here's my exercising equipment. My snow shovel and broom. Can't wait to start hanging my clothes on them , LOL. Get it? I know I may have to use them again before it is really Spring, but I can see the light at the end of this snow tunnel.
This is how things are looking around here today. Our sump pumps came on late last night and are still running. So thankful that  long line of storms went thru as quickly as it did.
My daughter said school had  a two hour delay because of high waters. She also said my dentist office had some roof damage.  Hope they can fix that soon. We are having fierce winds today, it can help with the drying. I have not been out , other than to get the paper, today. I like to walk around and look at the trees and roof after a storm.
I know some of you had a rough night, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you get some help today.  xo

  1. Glad you are safe this a.m. and I hope you won't have any more rain/wind. We had a thunderstorm about 4 am but we're safe and sound.
I hope you have a nice day.

  2. I am happy to hear that you are safe today, and I continue to hope that the melting will not cause flooding. Enjoy your Friday. xo Nellie

  3. We had some of all, but not quite like you got. The wind was really strong last night. I cancelled my doctor appointment because of the crazy weather day. I was afraid it would turn to ice. The wind damage or whatever they say wasn't that far a way for us. My brothers are all o.k., but they had the high winds. I know when the thunder, lightening, and all started it was the wee hours and I didn't sleep that good afterwards. Have a great day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  4. My fear is that all the incredible amounts of snow and rain will lead to flooding when everything begins to melt.

I love your exercise equipment, Susie!
I am praying for a mild weekend to plant primroses. We have had torrential rains this past week.

  7. Yes, I'm glad you're safe too! My hubby came home from work and spent the next nearly 2 hours up on the roof, chipping off ice dams. We've had heavy, wet snow and the power went off and on all night and morning today. Hard to imagine that spring will be here soon. Let's keep hoping.

  8. I hope you've had a good day and it's had a chance to dry some. It's been a winter of extremes, hasn't it? We got some much needed rain this afternoon and I'm glad it soaked in. Sweet hugs, Diane

  11. We can see our sidewalks, too! Yay!! But the winds have been very scary for the past 24 hours. I do like these temps though.

    Happy Weekend!

  12. We lost a tree. Old dead pine fell across the driveway and I could not even get up to the house.

  14. Oh- The wind is horrible here. It was bad last night and worse tonight. My outside lower light keeps coming on-(motion sensor) because the wind whips the branches around so much tit picks them up and flips on.

Hope you have a great night...and that you can soon hang clothes on your shovel and broom...lol...I GOT IT! xo Diana
