March's 1st Week...

This was taken on Monday this week. Ted just done loading the wood box.
This picture is from last year, the 1st week of March.  Looks the same to me.  Except for that fir tree we cut out by the garage. Our snow is melting some. We had ice and rain yesterday. Today is a bit warmer. Tomorrow is to be colder but some sunshine.
I am trying to keep busy. Trying to not thinking of Thursday and Friday. My daughter Kathy will be coming to spend some time with me. So I am dusting up the guest room/ office.   I truly need to sort and throw out stuff. Yikes, where does it all come from ???
Hope all of you that are getting snow, ice and /or rain..don't lose your power....so you can stay warm. I think our country has taken a beating weather wise this year. I am ever so glad our sub zero temperatures have eased up. I thought I was never going to be warm again.
  Take care dear friends, XO

    1. Thank you Tete. I am hoping we do not have any more snows..I am so burned out on it. I know you have been sorting and tossing...I did a major purge when we moved here and I tell you Ted has so, so much more in the shop. Now all of a sudden our basement looks cluttered and I hate that. I have just got to give the charity places in town this"Stuff". Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  2. Well, I think you sent your sub-zero weather over here, Susie. UGH...We have not risen to zero yet here on the bay. High of 8 predicted but the wind is whipping so who knows how cold that makes it?

Glad your daughter is coming home for a visit...and yes...where does all the stuff come from? xo Diana

    1. Diana, wind makes it even worse. Today is not windy or super cold and I swear I could sit on the porch , all bundled up of course. That cold you are having goes to the bones. I am eager to see my daughter...have not seen her since Christmas. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. I think it's been the super cold temperatures that have made this winter seem just as long as last years. Me too honey, come on spring. I have felt like I can't get warm. Bless your heart, xoxo,Susie

  7. We had rain and ice yesterday too. It's sun/rain today but much warmer. Tomorrow we are supposed to have a major snow storm. I am so ready for winter to be over. But my Pastor told me that this is supposed to be the last bad week. I hope he is right.

Stuff? Yes, where does it all come from? I think it multiplies while we sleep. Have a nice time with your daughter.

  8. Laughing when you asked, "Where does it all come from?" I think it attaches to me like velcro and just walks in the door with me each time I have been out somewhere!:-) xo Nellie

    1. You mean like cat hair?? LOL. I looked thru things in the office this morning, took a ton of art books back to the shelves in the basement. folded blankets and throws, put them away. Just when things are out of place it looks like clutter. :):) I loved your description though. You make me laugh. I needed that. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. Yes, it looks so magically inviting, but I think we've all had our fair share of the stuff at least for this year.
Happy that your daughter is coming to visit, enjoy each others' snowed in time :)

  10. Oh Susie...I do feel for you in the cold. We were in the 70's today, and looking for 80's next week.
I'm in sandals and sleeveless top.

I can't believe how things multiply on my desk...I clean it, and before I know it ~~cluttered again... Such is life. haHa

  11. I know this is a difficult time for you and your family. It's hard to know what to say about a loss like this. Loosing a parent is one thing but loosing a sibling is another. I don't know how I would react if I lost a sibling. I am the oldest and I should go first. just not for a long time yet.
Well we will get a little more snow. I just hope it breaks the record and then see ya! It was warm today relatively speaking, some melting but it's hard to notice when you've had 8' of snow in one month.

  12. Icy rain has been pounding us the last hour and the wind is horrible. I'm glad your daughter will be coming to visit you.

You're wondering where all that stuff comes from? Aren't you known as "She Junks?" Lol! Hope it's warms up for you soon.

  13. Oh my gosh Susie...I'm like you, will it ever end for you? I know they claim spring is just around the corner...but I'm sure your wondering how big of a corner is it?

    Stay warm...and sage.

    Blessings,
    Gert

  21. Thank you for popping by my blog. I think those terrible temperatures have finally left. It's been a long cold winter that's for sure. We were in the mid 30's today and it felt like sweater weather compared to what we've had! I hope your weekend is going well, take care, XX Liz
