Two cooks at the range. Karen and Angie. Karen's a very good cook and Angie is a good salad maker. LOL While raising my girls , Angie was my right hand...she helped with so much. She helped the girls get fed and then do homework, while I worked 2nd shift, many , many times. I think of my girls as my blessings.
Savannah standing , Sierra, Karen, Brock and Emily.....This is a bad place to try to get photos...too much light streaming thru the French doors and large windows.
Here's Brock with his baby girl Layla. She has been chewing her finger, I think she may be getting more teeth. She's 21 months old.
Sierra with Savanna, who is sporting her Christmas hair. I hope Savannah's not bald by the time she is thru high school...all that hair coloring. I love seeing them smile together.
Oh look, the pilgrims are here. This grouping ,of chalk ware pilgrims, was made by all my daughters while in grade school. There's a set missing , or someone's man ran off with another one's woman. LOL Angie is the one who ended up with all of these and she brings them out every year for Thanksgiving. They look a bit sad, but then if they were spiffed up they would not be the same.
We had a great time yesterday. Lots of old stories and new ones. Plenty of food, sorry forgot to get photos. Biscuits, sausage gravy, eggs, ham, hash browns ,and cinnamon rolls. Milk, juice, and coffee. I just truly enjoyed my time with everyone. :)
Hoping all of you are having a good Monday. The sun is shining and it is cold here. Bless you. XO
Yum..what a marvelous brunch Susie! There is nothing better than a visit from grandchildren! Happy Thanksgiving....
ReplyDeleteIt was an easy going kind of day ...so I truly enjoyed just being with my children and grands. Layla was fun to watch and listen to her trying to read her Hello Kitty book. I hope your week is easy, some times we can stress from making plans.:) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Sheri, Seems all my grandkids are grown or half way there. Savannah is 14 and Emma is 12...they are my youngest. Now it's going to be great grandkids running around. :):) I have things the girls made growing and I have given them to the girls. I need to be giving them more things. I tell them to hold onto things for their children. I am hoping you and your family get to have a beautiful Thanksgiving day. Bless your heart, love, xoxo, Susie

DeleteLOVE the pilgrims.. true treasures! Im looking forward to our crazy noisy crowded family time tomorrow! I should not be on the computer right now.. soo much work to do today. also I have to help my daughter this afternoon with auditions for the highschool musical.. why she planned that for the wednesday afternoon before thanksgiving .. I dont know! lol! she has obviously never cooked and hosted a big thanksgiving dinner. LOL! but.. I'll soon kick into gear and get busy! looking forward to that turkey and stuffing!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving my friend!
xoxo
vivian
Viv, When we would have dinners at my parents house..it was so small people were eating everywhere in the house...just about. And there was only one bathroom for all those people.scary huh? But we had plenty of love and it was a good time...I miss all that now..my siblings have their own dinners with their own families. I am thankful my girls can be together most times. One lives away from the area and one is a nuse...so they usually can't get the same times...but when we can it is fabulous. Blessings to you, your children and those sweet grands. xoxo, Susie
DeleteThis was a delightful post Susie! Love all the family photos. I'd never heard of chalk ware. Now I'll have to Google that. Those pilgrims are so cute. What a treasure! Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
