I bought these little angels playing musical instruments, because it made me think of my four daughters.
This is a family photo we took in the park when the girls were in high school. I am in the middle.
This is a picture that my oldest granddaughter colored when she was little...she copied the picture in the park.
Here's one she drew of me ...boy I was looking good. :):)
This is my girls at the I.U. campus in Bloomington. Kathy was attending the university then.
I have had this crazy frame for some time. There's enough photo slots for the girls and I.
This is a favorite photo for me. Kathy was the bride. Karen was one of the maids of honor while Angie and Liz were servers for the reception. That was some big hair days. :):) I have always told the girls that they are my life preserver and my anchor...They kept me afloat and stable. My greatest gifts .
Hope all of you are close to your children and get to have time with them. I enjoy any time I have with the girls and their little families .
What a glorious day we are having. Sunny skies and warm temperatures and it's November !! We better relish these wonderful days. XO
what beautiful women and you look like one of teens in that one photo!! Brought tears to my eyes reading this, what a strong love,
ReplyDeleteThank you Laurie. I didn't want anyone to cry.:) I just want to make a post for some time down the road that the girls could read and remember...you know once I am gone. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat a beautiful family! I absolutely love that photo in the park!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. We had the best time that day...I can truly remember it. We met the photographer in the park and he took us to different settings. We loved that guy , he did all the family's photos for special times. The girls and I went out to eat after the picture taking. I know you love your girls like that too. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI'm so happy for you and the relationship you and your girls share. I love my girls too, but don't get to see them so often. They live in different towns. Although I get to see my grandchildren often, their mama is a nurse and works 12 hour shifts, so she's working when I have them. Thank goodness for smart phones!
ReplyDeleteIf I had lived closer to Liz...I would have probably baby sat Emma , Savannah and Skylar . I do remember watching Angie's kids while I was laid-off from work. The phones now make staying in touch so wonderful. Glad you get to be with your grands and get all the hugs you can. Blessings, xoxo, Susie.
DeleteYour pictures are precious and you are very blessed, Susie. Since I don't have children/grands, I appreciate you sharing your family with me.
ReplyDeleteMildred, I will share my family with you...you are one of my soul sisters. :):) I do feel blessed. Blessings to you too. xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful ladies! You are blessed to be so close to them all.
ReplyDeleteI am happy that the girls are all close to each other too. I wish Kathy lived nearer ...she will one day soon, maybe next year. Then we can all spend time together. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou sure have a lovely family, Susie. I enjoyed seeing your photos. You look as young as your daughters in the family photo!
ReplyDeleteMy son and daughter and hubs and I are all very close. I see too many families that aren't close and it makes me sad. I feel very blessed!
Thank you Cheryl. I am happy to read that you and your family are close also. I never understood why people can't mend their fences and make peace. Blessings to all of you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, those are beautiful pictures. I especially like the drawing that looks like the photo. I'm sure you know it, but you are very fortunate to have such wonderful kids and relationships with them (although you probably helped to make that happen). -Jenn
ReplyDeleteJenn, I tried my best to raise the girls to be good citizens and always work for something they wanted. I am glad they do work . I appreciate each of them and am thankful for any time they share with me. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

DeleteSusie, I loved this post with all the girls. It reminded me of me and my girls too. That card is so cute, and those little angels are perfect since you have four daughters. You look like one of the sisters in this picture when they were in high school. You were so pretty, Susie, and still are. :)
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Sheri, I made this post to let you see that I have things that remind me of my girls ...just like you do.:):) I have Christmas things that I call my girls too.Thank you for the compliment. Blessings to you, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI loved reading about your girls, your life preserver and anchor! And seeing the picture and the amazing picture your granddaughter drew!
ReplyDeleteIt also reminded me of my three sisters and the special relationship we have, friends forever.
I hope so much that our 3 sons and their sister will always be as close as they are. The best times for me are when we're all together and I sit back and watch them having fun together. Makes all worthwhile.
Dewena, I understand totally about watching our grown children loving to be together . It does us parent good to see them happy. The girls and I have had disagreements....but never let it get so far that we could not speak or be with one another. Parenting is a tough job and so rewarding . Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful women with an equally beautiful mother. I enjoy my children and my girls have always been my rock and my motivation. Now I have my grand doll and I must say that I am thrilled with having her in my life.
ReplyDeleteCarol, So glad you have wonderful daughters too. It's amazing how much loving the grandkids swells our hearts. We are blessed. xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, the photos are priceless! For daughters! Definitely a gift. I love your first photo too. Back in the day it wasn't a big deal for little ones to dress like that for the beach, especially with sisters or cousins. Enjoy this fall day. Winter's coming all too soon.
ReplyDeleteJudy, I remember girls running around without tops as toddlers or pre-school.:) I think we need to love everyday that does not bring snow. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI loved seeing your photos. I know these bring back many happy memories. Your granddaughters art is priceless!
ReplyDeleteI lived in Bloomington for 3 years.
Karen, I took Sierra's art in and had it framed. I think she will hang them one day in her home. Isn't Bloomington a pretty town. I love college towns. We did go visit Kathy many times. She paused her schooling for many years and ended up graduating summa cum lauda from Bethal College (Christian) up North. She took her sister Karen (bride's maid) to Bloomington this past summer for a weekend. They enjoyed that time so much. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou are sure blessed with your lovely daughters!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. I knew when my daughters were born , the love a mother had for her children...then along came grandkids and it feels the same. Wishing you a great weekend, xoxo, Susie
