They are reshaping in this shot.
This is a bit blurry...a morning picture of our courthouse.
Heading east and seeing the shape of Cargill's grain elevator on the left.
Things are calm at the elevator now. Being that harvest is many months past.
The sun rising up just past a small woods. Lots of pretty sky colors. Ted and I just had a day away from the house. Shopping for a few needed things. We had coffee and sausage biscuits on the road. Even that was fun for something different in our day. Much later we had a wonderful lunch, at the cafeteria. Ted had fish and I had chicken. :):)
Later in the day we filled the bird feeders and got some chores done. Relaxing now. Ted is watching a movie and I am catching up with blogs. Hope all of you enjoyed your Saturday. XO
Hi, Susie...enjoyed seeing your photos..our Sat has been very quite and nice.
ReplyDeleteHi sweet BJ...I hope you nd your hubby are doing better. You are all in my prayers. Hug each other for me. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! I've been so busy I haven't been able to visit blogs. Went to Bonita Springs, Florida last week and this week trying to get caught up. I posted a picture today of the Sandhill Cranes and I thought maybe that is what you were posting a picture of! They have been flying over the last couple of days. What do you think of this weather? I'm LOVING it!!! Have a great evening!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Cindy, When we break our routines ..it can be work just catching up. Glad you had a fun time. We had cranes in the field across the road once. But I am sure these are geese...they were making that honking noise. :):) Lots and lots of them too. This weather is totally unreal. I loved the way today smelled...so fresh. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Deletep.s. We'll have to see each other at Horton's in March. :):)
Sometimes it is very important to get out of the house and do something different for a change. Your day sounded splendid.
ReplyDeleteVee, I really did enjoy just being a bit carefree today...no real pressing chores or appointments. Hope you are starting to get your good spirits back. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSounds like a perfect Saturday to me! I'm about to call Louis Dean to check on him. He told me this morning that he was going to make apricot pies today! I'm sure they will be good but I'm concerned about my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteLoved all your beautiful photos!
Linda, I know what you mean about your kitchen.LOL...Ted will some times make his tea...we make it by the gallon..he never washes up anything..Just yeaterday I thought to myself..How would it feel to just throw things into the sink, or clothes hamper and not ever have to worry about who will clean it up. GAAAAA. I guess it's a pet peeve with me...Everyone should take care of their own needs and then clean up and put away. Hope your trip is going well. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHow neat to see the geese flying in formation! They better not head North too soon! Enjoy your weekend! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, I was wondering if geese had a built in calendar telling them to head north. LOL. Yesterday was a great day. Today will be warmer but foggy for most the day. Bummer. Hope your day is a fine one. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI sure like to watch the geese when they fly over with their flock. Their honk is very loud, and you can always tell when the geese are near. This sunrise is beautiful, Susie. It sounds like you had a nice Saturday. Have a relaxing Sunday as well.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Sheri, You are so right about hearing the geese...they are heard long before they are spotted...wonder what they are arguing about. LOL. I did enough our carefree day out. We still returned home in time to do chores. Hope you are safe there...those floods are worrying me and so I am praying for your state. Be safe honey. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteDon't you just love Saturday's...sound like you had a good day. The geese flying north...I saw some flying today...a sure sign that spring is here....just can't believe those ground hogs now a days, maybe they are giving us fake news. I would like to believe the geese. But who knows there is still March. But this day sure gave a feeling of new beginnings, the crocus's are popping up too...yeah, it feels like SPRING!!
ReplyDeleteLouise, Love the fake news reference. :) I hope our flowers don't get their buds froze off.:):) Today here is to be 67 degrees. unreal. Blessings to you and yours, hope you are feeling fine. xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful pics, Susie. I love to look up t the sky when I hear the geese squawking. Seems they never left this year!
ReplyDeleteJane
Hi Bloondie, Aren't we lucky that winter's been so mild. I am just amazed at these temperatures. High 60's and a couple days of 70 in this week's forecast. I bet your dogs loved being out. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSounds like you and Teddy Bear had a good day, Susie. Sometimes those drive around and do a few things are the best kind of days. Hope you have a great night- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteDiana, It was just so nice to relax and not worry about the house...although we did return in time to do our daily chores. I always clean house before I go anywhere..maybe not a deep cleaning , but it is straightened up .LOL I just have been feeling light hearted , I think it's the weather. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteWish I could have been in the back seat eating some of the sausage biscuits too, that sounds just right! Take care, sweet Susie. x
Hi Kay, It was kind of fun to be like young people ..haha, eating in the car. I do not like to smell food in the car normally. Don't ask honey...when I was young (and starving) I loved smelling food anywhere...but the older I have gotten, it's all different. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteMaybe those geese are headed to my house! You were sure up early that day! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteJenn, Geese are pretty flying and pretty to look at, but omg, they are nasty squawking beasts on the golf courses and such. LOL It was a long day for Teddy and I, but we had a great time. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGreat pics of the geese formation. You will enjoy watching the birds at your feeder this spring, too.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, We like to feed the little birds and song birds...but those nasty starlings, I do not care for them. It was interesting watching the geese change up in flight. Blessings for a beautiful Sunday. xoxo, Susie
DeleteLovely photos, Susie! I love watching geese fly overhead!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter said a friend was calling them sandhill cranes...but that honking had to be geese. Blessings to you Linda, I loved your little joint project with your husband. xoxo, Susie
DeleteSounds like a nice day. I love the grain bins in your photos. I love farms!
ReplyDeleteI like to see the grain elevators with the sun shining on them. Ours ois a busy one...many train tracks running along side...where the grain cars are pushed into the yard there. I swear some times it seems those trains have about a hundred cars when they leave there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie and thank you for stopping by; I have signed up to follow now. These are pretty photos. You and Ted are like us. Sometimes we just enjoy getting out of the house and eating somewhere different. We are seeing a few signs of spring here. God bless your evening. Love, Mildred
ReplyDeleteMildred, I am glad you and your husband like just doing things on the spur of the moment too. Ted is not picky about eating anywhere...but some times I am. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
