This is our grandson Korey. He lives in Utah. He and his beautiful wife Ashley took a couple days to just enjoy some hiking in the mountains.
Korey and Ashley truly do love doing many of the same things. This is good for them to stay strong and active. Anyone living in Utah , may recognize the area . ( Jann??)
I do not see any thing green in all these rock formations. So it must be kind of high altitude.
Isn't this an amazing sight. I am sure there's names for all this...I just do not know them.
Here's Korey when he was about 4 and crazy for the ninja turtles. I love that sweet smile.
Here's that smile on his mother's face when she was about the same age. :)
We are into our 4th or 5th day of 50-60 degree weather. Green things are popping thru the soil.. I did some raking and trimming today in two flower beds.
Ted and I went to a couple stores looking for a night light kit...he's working on something. :):) I'll show that later. We went to hobby-lobby. I love looking at things in that store. Then on to Lowe's, for some led light bulbs. I was thankful no one was coughing in the stores today. LOL. You gotta sanitize your hands in the car and wash them real good with soap , once you get back home.
Hope all of you are doing well. XO
Hi Susie, Korey and Ashley are a cute couple. How fun to enjoy the same hobbies. These photos from their hike are breathtaking! I love seeing Korey and his mom's childhood photo. Cute shirt that Korey is wearing. We are super careful about germs when we are out, too. Have a good evening. Hope you won't be sore from your yard work.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mildred. So funny, I was wondering as I got out of bed this Wed. morning, why my arm were a bit sore. LOL. I like to rake...but it hurts my ankles(arthritis)...isn't that just crazy? Stay well. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteKorey is a very handsome young man and he and his mom as kids are just adorable. He and his wife make a good team and they are a very cute couple. We have lots of green popping up everywhere. Some daffodils and I saw a redbud coming into bloom. That is usually the first thing I see in our neighborhood that whispers Spring to me.
ReplyDeleteHope you are doing well. I get totally confused in Hobby Lobby. So much stuff!!! But I do think it is a place full of good things.
Thank you Nonnie , I think Korey is the perfect kid and Ashley fits him so well. They both enjoy many things...calm demeanors , caring hearts. Nonnie, my mom loved flowering trees better than any flower at spring...I am hoping our things don't get frozen as it may snow this weekend. Oh yes girl, that H.L. is loaded with "stuff". lol. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteCute grand and his wife...they sure grow up fast.
ReplyDeleteI love Hobby Lobby, too. I always get in trouble there and at HomeGoods...buy too much. :)
xo
Hi BJ, I honestly did not buy anything at H.L. I let Ted look for his lighting kit and I just glanced at things ,I did get a couple snapshots. :):) It is tempting in those stores. I am holding your family in my prayers. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteKorey sure did inherit his mother's darling smile! Isn't it wonderful that both he and Ashley enjoy hiking together? That bodes well for their future, I'm sure. Which one of them is the talented photographer?
ReplyDeleteDewena, Korey and his wife are just the perfect fit...they are fun loving, caring, and kind. Korey is the best photographer. He even takes wedding and engagement photos(Hobby). He won a free round trip airfare once for taking some hotel photos. I need to get his site and post it. Blessings for a good day there...we are foggy this Wed. and getting showers. xoxo, Susie
DeleteUtah is so beautiful...especially during winter! Wouldn't it be marvelous to have a cabin there? Darling Grandson Susie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Betsy, I do think this grandson is special. I have been to Utah for the kids' wedding....the mountains make for curvy hilly roads...not to my liking. LOL I like flat land the best for living. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour grandson looks like his mother on those pictures! He definitely has her smile! Lovely photos as always!
ReplyDeleteThank you Pilar. Hope you are enjoying your week so far. I am just loving these warm days...but worry about the predicted weather coming. :( Not so good. Things are turning green here already...we are about a month ahead. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHow precious to enjoy your grown grandchildren. I look forward to watching mine grow. It's amazing how fast they grow up. I've said so many times lately, "Life is fast."
ReplyDeleteBonnie, Our time does go very fast and the older we get the faster it goes....one day you will say"where did all those years go?"....hug and kiss those sweet little ones every chance you get. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie: Don't you just love it when the kids do things, no matter how old they are? It is a lot of what makes life worthwhile, in my opinion. I love the younger pics, so cute and such sweet memories. Stay healthy!!Happy Wednesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, I am glad my grand has a sense of adventure. Korey and his mother are a lot like me ...I always had wanderlust. I want to go ..to see..to do. Girl, I have been trying my best to stay healthy. :):) So far, I am good. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI've never been to Utah but parts of Colorado look just like that..Thanks for sharing, Susie
ReplyDeleteMissy, There's a place in Colorado called the garden of the gods that has those same colored rocks. I wonder if that's where you were. It's near Colorado Springs. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, your grandson and his wife are such a cute couple! The furtoSouth you go in Utah the Tedder the rocks get. :) Looks like they are in Arches and the Goblin Valley areas. There are so many gorgeous National parks here. Last Spring hubby were going to visit what they have dubbed the 'big 5". We only made it to 4 because the weather turned bad. Had a great time!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
Thank you sweet Jann. I knew you would know some of the parks there. I know Korey loves going to any of them . He is fascinated by all the natural beauty. That is wonderful that you and your husband also went to see the wonders. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHow fun for your grandson and his wife to hike in that beautiful spot. I too am enjoying our unseasonable warm weather for February.
ReplyDeleteSo hard to believe I could open up the sliding door today in February. Fabulous! Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris
Kris, I liked seeing the mountains of Utah...but there was no way I wanted to hike them or geezoo ride a bike along those curvy highways. SLC is a city for young people...so many runners and bikers...in high altitudes. Oh my goodness, I think this weekend is going to bring some winter back to us. I have loved all the nice weather. Blessings for a fun weekend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie, They sure are a cute couple. I've never been to Utah but this sure looks like beautiful country! Lorien certainly has his mother's smile! I love photo comparison!
ReplyDeleteSounds like we're in for a winter blizzard Friday..uggg
Blessings,
Gert
Gert, I love seeing the mountains and all...but there's no way this old grandma is going to be hiking there. LOL. I am a true flatlander. LOL. Oh dear, I do think we are going to have some bad weather also. I just pray no power losses. Blessings, stay safe inside, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThose are such pretty rock formations in Utah. It's amazing how they form that way after all those years. Korey still has the same sweet smile that he did as a kid. My son was into Ninja Turles when he was a little also. I bet your flower beds look so much nicer after caring for them, Susie. Enjoy the rest of the week. : )
