When we went to town last week. Drove by Horton's Need any potting soil?? I think they re-do all the planters in town.
Driving to town on Main Street. At this corner where you see the fire hydrant, This is where our old high school used to be. The grounds of the school were just big enough for the school and a bit of an entry frontage. It now has senior housing . I love seeing our courthouse clock tower.
This is the new city office building. We used to have a Hook's drugstore here, then it was a General dollar store and café.
I took this photo of a robin as it was getting dark a few days back. Since the snows melted they are back to looking for worms. I need to rake around in some of the flowerbeds to help them out. . I love how they will get into freshly turned dirt and dig around for breakfast.
I may go into Horton's today for photos and get a jump on the crowd on Saturday. My daughter Angie and I are going to their Spring Open House. Enjoy your day. XO
I bet the spring open house will be a real treat. Be sure to post lots of pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, I have already returned home form Horton's and I am going to post pictures. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSpring? Spring? I've heard about this Spring thing.
ReplyDeleteOh by the way very nice photos.
ReplyDeleteBoston Boy, Have you wore your snow shovel out yet? I am sure it's going to take some time for all that snow to melt. Some snow amounts just sounded scary. I do not want to shovel the whole street to get a car out..or even shovel the roof to keep it from collapsing. 4 more days till spring...I know even that won't help. Blessings and stay warm. xoxo, Susie
DeleteWe have enjoyed watching the robins too the last few days! Good idea to go to Horton's early and get pictures before the rush of the open house. I know you and Angie will have fun. The clock tower and the new city bldg. are very pretty. Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteMildred, Honestly the Horton family is just the nicest people ever. I always ask to get pictures and they have never said no. I may make another post today since I have gone to town and returned already. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, I always love to see photos of your charming town. The Robin is one of my favorite birds. They are brave and don't scare too easily. I will come back and see all the pictures you took of Horton's. I bet there was lots of Spring goodies.
