Gaither Family...

This is the shops, café and studios owned by Bill Gaither.  It's in Alexandria , Indiana. Two towns east of my hometown.  They have wonderful foods here, although I have not eaten here. The day Ted and I went here, we had just had our lunch.  I checked out the menu on line. Soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, skillet meals, and desserts.  Gloria Gaither's red raspberry cake was mentioned.
There's a studio were cd and dvd are recorded.
As you step inside the gift café entrance, you'll see racks of cd's and dvd's. Gospel and country music.
  Pillows , knic-knacks. , plaques , and planters.
I did not look thru too long, but will be going back one day...I'd love to have lunch there.

I thought this was a welcoming spring sight as you enter.
I picked up this cd of Joey and Rory Feek. I bought it for a friend . Joey has passed away of cancer. Way too soon. There's a book Rory has written about their life together.  I am looking forward to going back to this shop/café and looking at more of there wares.
Today it is snowing and a winter advisory has been issued.  It's let up now , so I do not think we will get much here.  Prayers for the east coast, it is looking like a huge storm for them. Please be safe. XO

    1. Sheri, I am going back to that shop and look at all their nice things. This coming weekend is Horton's spring open house...can't wait. LOL The Gaithers is an entire family of gospel singers and the Feeks were associated with them. Mrs. Feek was named Joey and sweet pure voice sweetheart. She passed away and told her husband on her death bed , "If our album wins a grammy, you have to go " They did win but she had passed by then. He did a book tour and was on the today show. Blessings, love the spring photo you posted today. xoxo, love Susie

  4. I enjoyed the tour of the Gaither's place. I love their music. It was so sad about Jody Feek's death. We've had steady snow all afternoon (not sticking).

  5. Hi Susie...that looks like a nice place to visit, hope you get back there for lunch. Sad when Rory died. It snowed a little bit last night about an inch. I was just getting used to "no snow" but that will come soon enough. Spring is just 8 days away!!!!

  8. I remember singing Gaithers songs when I was a teenager in Youth Group. They have been around for a long time. I didn't know they had a store. It looks nice. I hope you get to eat there and tell us what it is like. I follow the Feeks on facebook. It was sad when Joey died.
