Class Picnic....

Once again, it's  time for the 5th grade's class picnic. Here I am with all the kids. This was a great group too.
Here's the teacher, my daughter  Angie, with them . The children all played well together. No one whined or argued. Beautiful.
They played kick ball. Got a ton of exercise.
Baseball with plastic bats. So fun to watch them.
I thought the kids were genius. They drew circles with their names and put their sodas in the circles. Funny and clever.  I have always encouraged them to put a piece of tape on the cans with their names. LOL
This young mom came to help out. Her name is Deidra.
This mommy is Mandy. Such a small world, Deidra  and Mandy went to school with my niece Beth.
After a day of walking from school to the teacher's house. Playing games and running their legs off...the wonderful bus came and picked them up for the trip back to school.
The children  had hot dogs with fixings, chips, and cookies. Plus they could have one soda and lots of water.  They will be having cookies all next week, as treats...because any cookie packs left over go back to school . Angie won't keep that stuff in her house. LOL.
The past few days the weather's been wet and gloomy....today was truly a beautiful day. Sunshine and blue skies with a pleasant temperature. Two thumbs up.   Hope your day was fun XO

    1. Jenn, Yes, I help my daughter give her picnic. I usually polish the girls nails and braid their hair...But this year their time was too short. They had rocket launching at the park before they came for the picnic. So time was just for eating and playing. Sweet kids this year. Oh heavens I rarely bake any more. LOL the kids moms donate chips and cookies. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. What a fun class picnic, Susie. I'm glad all the kids got along. What a clever idea drawing circles with their names. Oh, I remember those days well. I was always the mom who went on all the field trips and picnics. It was a lot of fun, but at the end of the day I was exhausted. But it was worth it, and have special memories.

Happy Mother's Day to my dear blog sister.

    love, ~Sheri

LOL. I was to go to the art museum with this same class the day before...but I begged off, thinking about all that walking. Glad I did at about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. I was ready for a hot soak in the tub.LOL

    1. Hi Katie, Thank you for visiting. Don't you just love Boston Boy's sense of humor? If your son likes teaching and still like to be with the children on trips and such...he's a good teacher. ..My daughter loves her classes. Believe me some of them have had troublesome kids...I just call them all honey or sweetie and it's amazing how nice words can help a kid. :) Blessings to you this Mother's day, hope it a happy one for you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, I love seeing all the kids from my daughter's class. This year's bunch was so kind to each other...I loved it. This is tradition....but I did not do any nail polishing or hair braiding. They did not have as long at Angie's house this year. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
