A Bit Of Dad's Day.....

This is Teddy Bear eating some burgers Kathy brought to him for Father's Day. They are from a place called White Castle. I think people call the burgers "Sliders" . Oh there's no way I could eat those. So I had make chicken salad for lunch. But then I was the only one eating that, as Kathy and Ted both ate those burgers. Ted received cards, gifts, and lots of happy wishes on his Father's Day and he was happy.
The is Rick with baby Leo.  I thought our other great grands grew fast  , just look at this chunky boy. He is 9 months old now. He lost some of his baby hair and it has even grown back.
This is Mark with his boys, Luke and Max. So proud of the wonderful young fathers in our family.
Brock spent the day at his mother's and step father's . He and his family enjoy a fun day outdoors there.
Here's his sweet Layla playing in her wading pool, with everyone watching and laughing at her antics. She went down the playset slide onto a slip-n-slide, with her giant octopus. Oh to be a kid again.  LOL   So all in all it was a wonderful day.
The weather this weekend was unbearably hot. The air almost to heavy to breathe. Today we will have a slight break...so thankful for that. Wishing all of you good relaxing day. XO

    1. Karen, Once I smell those burgers, I thought to myself, "How did I ever eat those when I was younger?" hey smelled so bad to me now. Ted loved them. It was suppose to be somewhat cooler, but it does not feel it. I am ready for a cool down, I want to open my windows. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  3. Great pics! Of course, my very favorite one is your Teddy Bear! I’m sitting in the front room at the ranch and can hear Louis Dean up on the roof putting the tin on his utility room. It’s a perfect day to do it, too. Slight breeze and only in the upper 70’s with a high of 80 today! Windows are open, birds are singing and all is right in my world. Praying it is in yours, as well, my Dear Susie Q!

    1. Thank you Linda. :) It rained as we went to town for a bit. So glad of that. Every drop is helping right now. Plus it cooled off for a bit. Glad you are having good weather for LD to do what he loves to do...work !! LOL We had been kind of stuck in the AC...while the temps are in the 90's. With heat index warnings. Ready for a few cooler days to finish our shed painting. Then we may start on the new Addison to the shed...to use up doors and windows we have been collecting. Yes, we are Sanford and Son here too. LOL. Blessings to you my dear sweet friend, love you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Laurie, I think young people and men will eat any kind of burger..I used too. But the older I have gotten the worse smell effect me. I hate heavy string colognes and perfumes. I don't like to smell onions while I am eating ice cream at the DQ. LOL. I think my sense of smell has gone haywire. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  5. People either love or hate White Castle. I had never had them. I do know they were the first burger restaurant in the country. Joe hates those burgers. You have such a nice family. Love seeing all the pictures.

    1. Kathy, I looked at how very thin those burgers were and wonder how they get by calling them burgers. LOL. They are so thin they only have one side. :):) Thank you, I think our young family fathers are precious . I look at them and think I would love a nice dad like that...so that makes me know they are awesome. :) Blessings to you and Joe. xoxo, Susie

  12. she's having a ball playing in that pool for sure!! Oh, I love White Castles! LOl and down South we have one where the burgers and food is so similar and it's called "Krystle's". We used to eat at one in Garden City beach, go through the drive through, and take our food out on the pier to eat it and spend the whole evening there. They had a band and dancing way out at the end of the pier and hot summer nights right on the ocean were so nice and it only reminds me of Gypsy....so I will stop here.

    1. Haha Jann, you made me laugh...those are about the thinnest burgers around. You are right Ted ate 6 when Kathy gave them to him. Then ate the rest the next day. I think they look steamed rather than grilled.
Jann when Our children raise good children then it's almost impossible not to be proud. Blessings to you sweet girl. xoxo, Susie
