Good News....

We received rain, that was so needed for the lawns, plants and crops. The rose Bush I keep for my daughter Kathy has bloomed.
Granddaughter Savannah and daughter Karen, aboard a pontoon boat , on their vacation.
Grandson Skylar taking a catfish off the hook , that Savannah caught. :):)
Karen's family took a family vacation , right after Skylar's graduation. They stayed in this nice cabin with a pontoon boat for fishing .
Here's son-in-law Jeff. He's a great husband and father. They wanted to have a vacation with all the family. It's a great thing they squeezed this vacation in , because Skylar got called to a job starting tomorrow. The young man will find out what it's like to work .LOL. I pray for him. He needs this experience .
Here's a couple pictures of the inside of the cabin. I see the table is loaded. :):)
No carpets, hooray. Easy clean up.
Our Catalpa tree bloomed and looked so pretty for about a week.
Then the blossoms fall like big snow flakes. The rain from the past couple days has already helped. Hope people who need rain get some and those that don't , may you have sunny days.
I had a brunch get together with my classmates this morning. 10 of us showed up and it was a great time.  Enjoy your day. XO

  1. Looks like your daughter's family had a wonderful time. We have had so much rain that there is major flooding. Many roads closed and homes lost. Glad that storm is moving on out of here.

    1. Kathy, I wish those heavy rains would go to the states having forest fires. We got enough to keep things green...which were getting pretty dry looking. I hope you don't get any more rain for awhile. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Karen, I flubbed up and sent the wrong reply to you. I mixed it with Piler's. Sorry, I am old. LOL. We did need some rain badly here in central parts. I wish it would rain in the states having the fires. So scary. I carried my plants around on the porch and back off and then back on...trying to keep them from any hail that was forecasted. I am worn out from that, it's so silly. Hope it's not too much rain there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. The cabin looks like so much fun, Susie. We took many vacations before we owned a place. I thought it was quite a vacation as growing up we never had one.

I didn't know you were not getting rain. We've had way too much. I'm hoping it will end soon. :((

    1. Hi , Have not heard from you for some time. Glad you are visiting. Oh my lawn looks better with rain, as I will not use our well to water lawns. I am wore out from moving my containers here and there to avoid any hail that was predicted , or way too much scorching sun. Family time is precious, I love it also. Blessings to you friend, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Susie, I thought about you a long time after reading your blog yesterday. I told my husband about parts of it.
I hope you do get rain...would be wonderful if we all could get an inch of rain every week. It sure would help keep things green. Our lawn is better but not it's best. You know other places had too much rain, so scary. Susie, I hope you have a porch to be able to sit out and enjoy some summer days. Last evening here was so calm and peaceful...Ted and I sat out and enjoyed the fresh air. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  21. This is a beautiful rose coming from Kathy's rose bush. Your tree blossoms look so pretty scattered on your lawn. We had a small class reunion recently, but I didn't make it cause I went to a friend's purse and jewelry party. I hope you had a nice chat with your classmates, Susie.

Any more I am a better painter. :):) Blessings to you my sweet friend. love, xoxo, Susie
