We Were Busy....

Ted and I had a busy weekend.  On Sunday, went by Liz's to check on the family. Liz's been watching Max for the weekend. So I got to play with him again. He's a beautiful happy baby.
After playing with the baby and visiting Liz and Emma, we went to the nursing home in the next town over to see Ted's brother, Cliff.  He is doing well there. His speech is better. He still has no use of his right arm, but can move his right foot.  Cliff's pastor brought him and Linda a communion before lunch. Cliff cried. :(
We dropped off my toolbox and troubleshooting cart, for my grandson Skylar. But from the looks of their garage, they do not need more tools.
Saturday we checked out the mums at Horton's in Tipton.  I do not need any, but wanted to looks at the colors.
This has been my friend for the past week or so. It's our shredder. Actually dusty from all the shredding I have been doing.
Three bags so fast.  I have about another week of shredding ahead of me.  Old files, letters and receipts.

Found these mug shots...isn't that how they look. LOL It's our old passport photos. I can't believe we actually used these on our first passports. Oh I need to shred these. LOL Too funny.
Wishing all of you a wonderful new week.  XO

  1. Glad to hear Ted's brother is improving. When we were without power I started going through paperwork and making a "burn" pile. I have about four years worth of stuff to go through! I wanted to go to Horton's a couple of weeks ago but just never made it. I supposed it'll have to wait until their next market at this point. We are busy cleaning up messes made from the tornado. Have a great day Susie!

    1. Cindy, Aren't you amazed at how much paper we collect...yikes. You have not lived there that long either. LOL. I cleaned and rid our home of Stuff before moving here...and here we are with more Stuff. I hope you get your clean up done before winter sets in...We are working on geeting ready for a bad winter...cause Randy Ollis said we will have a snow for every August fog...holy cow.Blessings, hope to see you at Horton's autumn fest. xoxo, Susie

  2. Your "mugshots" don't look so bad, actually. I'm surprised you were allowed to use your picture for your passport. You seem to have a slight smile. Ours are completely deadpan. -Jenn

  4. Oh Susie, that is such a sweet pic of you with that adorable baby. Lucky you. I love cuddling babies. Keen observation in the garage. Guys never think they have enough tools. I wish I could get mums to look like that. I don't even buy them anymore. Just enjoy the neighbors' mums. I'm so glad to read of Cliff's improving. I think your mug shots are cute and you should save them. Actually, the first ones we took were best of all have wished we could continue using them. Lol!

  6. Hi Susie, what an adorable little guy! You stay so busy, good for you! I've got two mums that are blooming and a new one that didn't fully bloom, so I planted it. That shop looks like it has enough tools. Love the passport photos.

  8. Oh, I would not shred that passport picture. They hold a lot of memories, I am sure. I haven't bought any fall flowers yet. We were at Fountain City looking at them on Saturday. They were so pretty.

    1. Thank you . I did not get to go into the greenhouse at Horton's....but I soon will. I will get some nice photos of their flowers. I did buy a bag of fake flowers at a yard sale..I may just still them into the greenery of my containers and not have to worry so much about watering. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Missy, My husband just came in as I was reading this and he laughed and said that litter ought to take care of any old papers. LOL. I am enjoying our mums...but boy I need to deadhead some already. This horrible heat is making having flowers a big chore. :):) Blessings, stay cool, xoxo, Susie

    1. Sheri, Max will smile if you say his name ..He really makes you feel special. He loves his dog Madison...who was really his parents' dog till Max came along. LOL Sheri, my problem is saving too much for fear of needing prove of payment...I do not even know why I do this. I never owe taxes and never get great amounts back. So I think I will only save a couple years worth of taxes files and just get rid of everything. When I turned my tools over to Skylar, I had time sheets from 15 years ago. That's insane. LOL. I can remember my mother having the paid utility bills in her purse for a couple months. Oh I laugh thinking of that. It was as if her purse was a file cabinet. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
