Foggy Start Today....

At 7:00 this morning there was no fog....but as the day progressed, the fog came in. Eerie but I like that I can see the sun thru it.
You can see the trees are pretty much stripped of their leaves . The crabapple, the hickory(what is left of it).
Can't see farther than across the road. Glad we are not going anywhere. The bug man is going  to treat inside and out today...this being the fall treatment. I have had to call them each time...they are behind schedule..
I took this shot yesterday. Wow we have some leaf raking to do. :):) Our golf cart is in the repair shop for a few more days. That is what Ted drags the leaf rake behind when we have lots to rake up.  We call that golf cart  our mule, as we use it to do lots of things around here. It was losing it's power. Thought Ted would cry, so it had to go to the shop. LOL
There's just a bit of color still  in the little woods in back. When I look at the clumps of trees that were  once a huge orange ball and the trees are bare, I know that winter is near. I am not looking forward to those long months.  During winter,I do hope I can motivate myself to organize more things here and de-clutter even more.
I can't even explain why I hold onto things so long, when I know I don't need it. I am not a hoarder, well not like on that TV show...yikes.  But then I do not want to be a hoarder at all...of any kind.  So more and more I am wanting, trying, and at times actually doing the part of letting go. There's hope for me.
Today is going to be another wonderful day here in central Indiana. I am going to be outside for most of it. .Get outside if you can folks and enjoy the beauty of nature. XO

    2. Thanks a lot for that! I'm safe and sound at home but it wasn't a thrill getting to work in the snow. I'm glad I had the Winter Wheels on. Something my workmate didn't have!! Take care. Elzie

    1. Laurie, We need that golf cart out here in the country. :) Hickory trees are a hard wood and actually have little nuts on them. Hope you are enjoying the start of your weekend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. BJ, Our grands like to drive the cart when they come visit. They can only drive in the yard not on the road. :):) In our town, if your cart is equipped with lights and mirrors you can dive them on the streets. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Jenn, I like to get pictures of foggy...not always easy. The sun shining thru it helped me this time. Today turned into clear skies and sunshine...wonderful. I am going to love being outside on this weekend too. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  6. Susie, I love when it's foggy out, so mysterious and pretty. These pictures are lovely with the sun shining through the fog. And the picture of the leaves is really nice too. It's hard to give away things that have been around for years. I'm in the process of clearing things out myself right now.

    Have a restful weekend, Susie.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, I like to get photos of fog...but you have to have some light for it to work well. When I moved here, I still had my girls report cards and drawing, poems, school papers from when they went to school. I gave them to each girl. Lots of prom dresses went to goodwill. Wish I had just reworked some of them into pillows for keepsakes. LOL. Blessings, love , xoxo, Susie

  7. Oh I'd like to have a little mule, too. Hope that it gets fixed soon. Your other musings about hoarding and decluttering are what I am thinking about, too. So much that I don't need or use, yet I am keeping it by golly. Sigh.

    1. Vee, some times you can buy a golf cart used for a decent price. The things called gators cost too much. My girls fear they will one day be sorting my stuff and getting rid of it. LOL. I am not in the mood to have a yard sale...which would bring in some cash. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. I feel the same way, Susie. I have no idea why I have held onto as many things as I did. Maybe because we didn't have much when I grew up and so I wanted lots of 'things'. I can't explain it either. However, this last year something changed for me and I have been willing and able to just let things go...let it go...let it gooooo.(singing for you).
Hope your golf cart gets fixed soon- Poor Teddy Bear. lol

We had heavy fog here this morning and my son had to drive two hours south in it along Lake Michigan at 5am. I was worried but he texted me at 7:30 and said he was safe. We never stop worrying, do we? xo Diana

    1. Diana, I think when you are raised with little you may hang onto things longer. That's why I owned so many shoes and clothes. But then the crafting thing...you know that makes us think...Hey I make something out of that.LOL
When I retired I thought I would never have to worry about road condition again...oh heck I worry more for my children than I ever did myself. Plus I pray for all the people on the roads to be safe. Glad your son did well. Fog and ice are the scariest . Have a great weekend, Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, Fog at night can be kind of scary looking. I like to see it if it's not so thick you can't drive in it. LOL. Blessings for a fun weekend, xoxo, Susie

  10. Photos look like something from a spooky movie, fog and all. We've had unseasonably warm temps this year so Fall is slow to arrive in Okla. this year. The trees are just beginning to drop a few leaves but that will all change very soon. Hoping this is a mild winter for everyone.

    1. Oh I think foggy nights are scary. I never like to be on the road in fog. Too me it's worse that snow. It had slipped my mind that you moved to Okla. You are not the only one wanting a mild winter. I do not want to feel snowed in. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  11. The fog makes interesting photos with the sun shining through. Like you, I dread the long winter AND the time change! It has been unusually warm and we are taking advantage of sitting on the porch and working in the yard. Blessings to you this weekend, Susie.

    1. Mildred, I have taken a few fog shots and they have been decent. I think the sun has to be up to get a good fog shot. So glad you are sitting on the porch. Ted and I seem to be the only ones who sit out around here. We have plenty of yard work for this weekend. :) Blessings to you and your husband. XOXO, Susie
