Surprise .....

I got a big surprise this morning. My beautiful granddaughter Sierra and my daughter Angie popped in for a quick visit. Sierra is home from Florida for a wedding tomorrow. We will be having a gathering at their house on Sunday, as Sierra will not be able to stay for Thanksgiving.
Still trying to get many things done before snow starts falling around here. We have had the most wonderful weather this past week...lulling us into a stupor  of not realizing winter is so near. Ted is winterizing the lawn mower . Checking out the snow blower and the generator.  We have some more trimming to do today .  We did clean out all  the flowerbeds yesterday.  I brought in the rose bud and found another near by. So they are in this little vase my daughter made in school. :):)
Last evening's sunset. See what I mean about clouds helping  to make sunrises and sunsets more spectacular.
I went to my dentist yesterday afternoon, and he would not put in the permanent filling , as I am still have some sensitivity. So in two weeks, he will finish this tooth . Gaaaa...I am about nuts from this on going tooth saga. LOL
Blessings to all for a wonderful safe weekend. XO

  1. How nice that you are able to spend time with your granddaughter while she is there. That's always a good thing. I love the sunset. It made me think that the clouds in our lives are there for a reason -- to ultimately bring beauty into our lives. I am so sorry for your ongoing tooth saga. Hopefully in a couple of weeks it really will be done.

    1. Hi Kathy, I want to kick and scream about my tooth...but what good would it do...But I am too the point of having it extracted if the sensitivity doesn't stopped. It's the money too...wow. I am retired and not more bonuses or paid holidays or anything like that. I do not get to have the time with my grands like I would love...but thankful for what I can have. Hope you and Joe have a great weekend. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  2. Your daughter and granddaughter are so pretty and they look like sisters. Love the rosebud in the vase and, as always, the sunset photo. It turned cooler here today, too, but no forecast for real cold weather. Have a nice weekend.

    1. Thank you Vee, it was a good visit. Sunday will be fun too. To winterize a mower...you just add some gas stabilizer to the tank. Good thing Ted worked on the generator ..a mouse had made a nest in it while it was in the shed. Pesty things. Hope you have a good weekend, xoxo, Susie

That sky is beautiful, Susie, and it looks like a Fall sky. Winter is supposed to get here tomorrow- ugh. Not looking forward to that at all.

    1. Diana, I was so happy to see my granddaughter. I miss her so much. I can't even begin to tell you the crafts and coloring we did as she was growing up. But it seems now that it all happened in the wink of an eye...and she was grown and gone to live her own life. She's my 1st born grandchild. :):) I do not want to think of how long winter could be. I never was much of a winter fan. Diana, I think if I did not have insurance the tooth problem would be gone a long time ago...I feel the gouge when I heard the dentist says, "She has great insurance." See what I am saying?...so sad. My regular dentist says wait and see before even thinking of extraction. I asked him , "Do you think I am so tough, that I would be the only survivor of the Spsnish Inquisition ?" Dang. Blessings to all of you, stay warm girlfriend, xoxo, Susie

  6. I love your wonderful days and what a happy visit from your beautiful granddaughter!
Fall finally arrived here this afternoon. We plan to have a morning fire in the fireplace for the first time this season. I will take a photo but it will be bare bones as I have taken every last bit of fall down. The house looks rather vacant! I hope to decorate for Christmas next week!
I know you have been put through the wringer with that tooth of yours!

    1. Linda, I will say thank you to God for beautiful summer and fall we have had here in central Indiana. I will think of you and LD sitting by the fire.:) This morning(Sat.) Ted went into town for the newspaper and came home with sausage biscuits from McD's. The fire was going when I got up and the coffee is what woke me. I sat reading the paper while eating and was ever so thankful for my life. I know a blessing when I see one. LOL. Wishing you and LD a great weekend, xoxo, love you, Susie

  9. Hi Susie,
What a great surprise. So happy for you. I hate tooth sagas! I am getting a cap on Wednesday. My Sister asked why I would do such a thing the day before Thanksgiving! It's all that would work for our schedules. Oh well...
I hope you have a wonderful gathering with family on Sunday and a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy that granddaughter!
