This is the invitation to Max's birthday party.....but there will be NO wild rumpus. :( Max and his daddy both have the tummy bug. The party has been canceled till further notice.
Lynzie and Mark had these cute invitations made. It says , Our king of all things wild is turning one. Gee that is hard to believe.
I have some gifts for the birthday boy.
I wanted to make a gold crown for his card and my paint pen was empty so I used my nail polish. Max may not be impressed when he gets these gifts...it's clothes. LOL
Here is our little birthday boy and his faithful companion , Madison the cocker spaniel. They have become the best of buddies.
So tomorrow, instead of a birthday party, I will be meeting all my daughters for lunch. They are going to get together to shop. I know that's something I do not want to do and oh my feet would not be happy, so I will just have lunch when they are ready for a break.
Wishing all a great weekend. XO
Where the Wild Things Are is my absolute favorite children's book.
ReplyDeleteOh Janet, so funny. I remember reading it to my children so many, many years ago. Since Lynzie's son is named Max, they thought it would be fun to have his birthday party in the wild things theme. So far Max is not such a wild thing, thankfully. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh poor kid. Sick on his birthday. There is a lot of sickness going around right now. Stay healthy.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Cindy, I hate when children are sick. I would like for no one to be sick.....but little ones can tell what is wrong or how they feel. I just happy that his mommy is a nurse. Even tho, I told her to keep them hydrated. Nana can't help herself. LOL. Hope you have fun at Horton's, I might try to get there later. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWe loved that book too, it is perfect for the party. Have lots of fun!!
ReplyDeletePeggy, The party will be after Max and his father get over being sick. Sad for Max to be sick on his birthday. Hope all is well there with you and yours. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour invitations are so darn cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Alexandra. My daughter and her husband chose them. Bless you, hope your weekend is fun, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWonderful book! I hope the little fellow (and daddy) feel better soon. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteJenn, I am hoping our boys get well soon. Too close to Christmas for everyone to be sick....thinking of Lynzie , she's a nurse that gives me peace of mind. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI hope the birthday boy and his daddy feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteYes, lunch sounds like a good idea! Skip all the hard stuff like walking and shopping! I'm with you!
Linda, I think the lunch will be fun.....but I am not up to shopping. I really don't enjoy those hours long shopping trips any more. I am praying Max and Mark are well soon. Bless you, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteWhat a cute invitation! Just perfect for a boy named Max. So sorry he got sick though. No fun to be sick anytime but especially on your first birthday! Hope Max and Daddy feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, Yes, poor baby...tlking about the father..LOL..you know men are pitiful when they are sick. It breaks my heart for children to be sick. It was going to be a fun time...but we'll see if it happens later. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love everything! The crown with your nail polish is epic!!
ReplyDeleteJane
Blondie, I have two metallic paint pens and the gold one had dried up....so I had to be inventive, thus the nail polish. Hoping our boys get well soon and the rumpus can begin. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeleteSusie ~ so apologize for not visiting you for such a long time, but your faithfulness to my blog has told you all the deaths we experienced over the past months. I love your little darling with his companion. I had a black cocker spaniel from the time I was 5 to 17. His name was Sambo. Best dog ever.
ReplyDeleteWanda, I know it's a busy time at this time of year....then to lose so many of your friends..I understand.I just hope things can settle down for you. Speaking of black spanials...my guardian angel had two of them she called them Brendo and Toby. Once they passed she never got any more. But I love walking them for her. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI sure hope they feel better soon! How terrible to miss your party! Hope you have a wonderful weekend...maybe some of that shopping will be for YOU! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteVee, It is hard not to cry when I know a baby is sick. Even my own kids at their ages makes me sad. I did have a fun lunch with the girls at McAllisters. They have such good foods and always crowded. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThat's a shame that he is sick on his birthday. He will be happy to celebrate with you when he feels better! I am like you - I can't shop for very long. Thankful there are some stores very close to my apartment.
ReplyDeleteKaren, Our boy was feeling a bit better into the evening time...hope his dad does today (Sun). I did do a bit of walking yesterday and my feet feel like it too. Bummer. ReplyDeleteHi Pilar, I think all kids must love that book. Our little wild thing is getting better. Hope his dad is too. When I do not get to see the children much, they seem to grow in leaps and bounds. Hope you are all prepared for your holidays...some times it takes every day , doesn't it? Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

Jann, I truly did enjoy my lunch with all four of my daughters. Late Saturday evening Max started to feel better. I never see the children as much as I would like, so his turning one is a bit shocking. Walking, climbing , keeping Lynzie busy. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeleteMax looks so cute sitting in his little red wagon with Madison. What a cute picture that is, Susie. The crown you made with nail polish looks cool. I know what you mean about your feet hurting when walking too long. I've been wanting to go to the mall for Christmas shopping, but don't know how far my feet will go haha. I hope your lunch with your daughters turned out nice.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Sheri, I used to be able to force myself to hang in till the day was over when shopping with my girls...now I just tucker out too soon. But lunch with them was a hoot. Teddy bear went along and he said it was good fun and company. I love that picture of Max and Madison. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie
