I hang ornaments on the lamp shades. This little red and black checked mitten goes with our throws and pillows.
I love this pretty Santa head ornament. He is wearing glasses.
I love to put a berry wreath on top of this rustic house that has lights...at night.
A wreath for the grandfather clock. More berries on the swan sitting on top.
I placed this tiny tree in an old tobacco can in the tray along side "Twas The Night Before Christmas" book.
I finally polished up our silver pieces to make a tablescape....that I keep changing out. LOL It doesn't look like this even now. Some things are fun to spend time tinkering the way they look.
Today we will do some running...before the snow, ice and maybe even rain come. Hope all of you are enjoying the start of your weekend. Be safe. XO
Love you little pieces of Christmas around your home, Susie. I do that, too, with the lampshade hangers. (great minds think alike)...
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful day- snow is coming here, too. xo Diana
Diana, I do not decorate every room of the house...but I have little vignettes on the dressers, kitchen window sill, sewing machine in the office. I put some things in the bathroom. We should enjoy this wonderful season. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou have so many beautiful little touches of Christmas, Suzie! I'm getting better, going from probably a 3 in decorating to now maybe a 7. :-) Have a wonderful weekend. - Judy
ReplyDeleteJudy, I know you are higher on any scale than a seven. LOL. It's fun to change things up here once in awhile. I do the tablescapes. The mantle may stay the same for a couple years. :) Blessings, Stay warm there. xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat a cute idea! I immediately looked over at a lamp that I could hang an ornie on! Thanks! Enjoy your day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDiane, We did have a good day...went by too quickly, as they seem to do for me any more. Blessings for agreat evening and beautiful tomorrow. xoxo, Susie
DeleteIsn't it fun to decorate? I like your "ornaments on lamp shade idea" Must look for some "shade" ornaments next time at the store.
ReplyDeleteSome of the good ornaments I have I got on a sale after Christmas...but the old ones, the home made ones, mean so much more to me. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

ReplyDeletePilar, I can get ideas from visiting blogs too. I have noticed more and more of my ornaments are made of things other than glass. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThat checkered mitten is so cute just hanging on your lamp, Susie. I like how you put the tiny tree in the can, and I've always wanted to get the book "Twas the night before Christmas." I noticed the vintage balls sitting on your table. Those are just like the ones my mom put on her tree, only red. :) Your silver pieces are gorgeous. Everything looks so nice around your home, Susie.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend. It's raining like crazy here, and I'm supposed to get my tree!
love, ~Sheri
Sheri, Those are truly vintage red balls in a silver bowl. I got the ornaments at the treasure mart in Kokomo....where one can find many old things. I love them. How many days have you had rain. Tomorrow may get wicked here...snow, ice, and rain mix. Hope you can get a break in the rain to get your tree. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! Oh, everything looks so festive an pretty at your house. I hang ornies on lampshades too! Your grandfather clock is gorgeous! Thank you so much for popping in to see me and I wish you the very best at this Christmas time.

Shelia, It's fun to hear how many of us do things so similar. I saw your lovely clock that was your grandfathers. I love clocks. Hope our time goes smoothly and not too fast till Christmas. I like to enjoy it as long as I can. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI like the ornament on the lampshade! Have a nice weekend and stay safe in the cold weather.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen, It is snowing this evening and tomorrow is to be nasty...I hope the weather doesn't stay nasty all month. Today really was nice...cold but pretty...glimpses of the sun and some blue skies. Stay warm and safe. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
