Layla's Party.....

Here's the little party girl ,Layla, with her Gigi (grandma) and auntie Emma.  Layla had a birthday party on Sunday, at the Mulberry nursing home 's banquet room.
Of course her cousin Max was there with his mommy and daddy and aunt Emma.

It was hard to get pictures of the little princess  and her play mates..hopping around like "spit on a griddle".
The  theme of the party was puppies.   There were chalk paw prints on the sidewalk outside leading to the right door , to enter. Emma said she helped her mom ( Liz)  make these cupcakes. When I asked her which ones she made, she said the messy ones. LOL... I told  her they will all taste good.
Emily , Brock  and Liz,came up with a cute theme and party treats. Ham/cheese and PB n J  sandwiches in the shape of bones, complete with a Bone Appetit marker
Paw-sta salad also. I loved the paw prints on the food labels..
Pawtato chips . Emily had some small plastic tongs for helping yourself.
Pup-corn also.  I am surprised Ted didn't eat this all by himself. :):)
Veggies sticks being called fetch sticks here with dip.  I think everything was being served in a dog dish. I know they are all new...no dogs ever ate out of these.
Layla  was very excited when the therapy dogs came to visit her at the party.

Emma with all three of the dogs.  These Dalmatians  come to the nursing home to visit the patients there. So clean and well behaved.  The one lying with his face down is the baby. So sweet.
All the little children were loving the dogs and petting them so gently. The dogs let people hug them .
Of course if there was a stray cheerio on the floor the dogs found it.  I am impressed by the owners/handlers of these pretty dogs. We  enjoyed our time with the children, dogs and grown ups.
The weather was good on Sunday. Today cloudy with chances of light rain.  Our Saturday snow is gone. Melted away.  Hope all of you had a good weekend. Wishing all a nice new week. XO

    1. Cindy, That was the sweetest party . All the children were so good. Yes I think Liz is looking more like me than my oldest daughter, Angie. I am sick of this wind...it's been cold today. I was awakened every hour last night. I am ready for a pleasant day on the porch. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
