Rainy Sunday.....

Today is gray and rainy.  Well this morning was certainly dreary.

There were some flower petals on the porch and driveways...so I went looking to see if I could find their source. The neighbor's apricot tree has bloomed , somewhat, not the whole tree, just some branches.
Going down the drive...those lines are worms. LOL...why don't robins  want to eat the worms on the driveways during rain??
I checked out trees for blooms. This is the red bud tree. You can see the start of some blooms.

This is the lilac bush starting to bud out , the leaves are getting bigger.
The sedum is really growing fast.
Spotted some violas that had grown in the walkways. One green thing to the left is a dandelion.
So I think we can officially say, hello spring, here in Indiana. Took this pick from on line. Not my work...as if I would have a clue as to how to do this.LOL
My daughter Kathy has been down this weekend. She stayed with daughter, Angie. We just spent some  time together. Catching up and talking crafting.  Fun, fun, fun.
Hope all of you have been enjoying your weekend. XO

  1. Spring comes in many forms and colors, and you have captured them so well.
Sunshine and clouds here today. My dearest wasn't feeling well, so I left him napping and when to church alone. It felt so different, as we do so much together. Have a great Sunday. Hugs.

    1. Wanda, By the end of our day we had some sun for a pretty sunset. The hi-lite of my day was spending time with two of my daughter. We talked about apartment living for Kathy...as she will be living a different live come summer. We talked about crafts, because Kathy and Angie went to a craft fair this weekend. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Jenn, The two lilac bushes in our yard, are from starts of the lilac that were at mommy's old house in town. My mother is gone now and sadly are the lilacs in that yard. So I want these to survive. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Munir, We had a very mild winter here...so little snow. We had some extremely cold days. Even as we approached spring the temperatures were hi, then low and back hi...you know not like a normal temperature rising from cold winter to warmer spring. It's crazy at times. I am wishing you a nice warm up and a glorious spring. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Kathy, Once I wore a jacket, I did not want to wear my winter coat again. I have my raincoat out now. So I will wear layers. LOL. I hope spring comes your way soon. I know you like to make a fairy garden and change things. I am happy that Ted and I did our yard chpres as needed...that's the mild winter we had here. We picked up sticks and cleaned out flower beds. Ted made a new water hose container for me. I will post a pic of it. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo, Susie

  10. Oh, I really liked this post, Susie, cause I appreciate nature so much. The apricot tree blossoms are pretty. I was wondering what those lines were, Yikes! The lilac trees are going to start to blossom soon. My favorite picture on here was the red bud tree with the drops of rain. Everything looks lovelier with drops of rain, don't you think? The flag picture is cool too. Every time I try to take flag pictures, something always gets in the way, wires, buildings. But this is a clear view that you got.

    Enjoy the week, Susie.

    love, ~Sheri

  12. Susie, I love seeing the buds on the trees-gives us hope that spring is indeed going to stay. We have had a nice day today, but will have rain all week-which is much needed. My lilacs are still looking dormant or dead. Love that Redbud tree. Thanks for sharing, hope you have a blessed week.

    1. Noreen, I have kept checking the tree buds since I first spotted them...cause we had some very cold night and even a snow while they were budded out. Thankfully the cold did not hurt the trees...that I can tell. But the lilies looks sad , well some of them. Hope you are enjoying good weather. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Missy, I thought Of picking those worms up and putting them in the flowerbeds. :):) The lilies coming up here did get some damage...but I am so thankful the lilacs are still doing well. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  14. Love your photos!!! Robins are workaholics. They don't appreciate worms unless they have to exert some energy to get them. Lol

    1. Judy, I wondered if robins like their worms coated in dirt..not all bare and wet. LOL. I thought my photos looked gloomy, but then it really was that kind of day. Still getting rain . Hope you get a warm up there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  16. You yard looks much like mine! Been in here catching up with birthdays and such. You sure keep busy with all the grandkids and the pretty paper idea is a must for the origami maker! Such a wonderful, peaceful craft...and so pretty when done. I hope the sun comes out today...we had a smidgen of it yesterday, and rain coming in tomorrow. A bit of sunshine would be good for the soul. Allergies are full force, but shouldn't last too much longer.

    1. Tete, I like to stay on top of the birthdays , but sometimes I am running close. That is one reason I give money...let them buy something they like....or save toward it. :):) It's Wed. and we are having some sun but it is very chilly. Suppose to be 60 degrees today. Bad storms are headed our way out of Texas and Ok. Hope you don't get them. I hoping they dissipate. I hate to hear you have allergies....there's just so much you can at certain times of the year. Take care and enjoy the weekend coming. xoxo, Susie

  17. I love how YOU love spring!! I am loving it too and am surprised at how I never really appreciated it for so many years! Now it's my third favorite season following fall and winter with summer being my LEAST favorite!

    1. Linda, You and I are a lot alike. I can't do the real heat of summer...so it's not my favorite time. I like the warm days of spring and watching things come back to life. I love fall, although I can get so melancholy....maybe it's the dread of winter approaching. Blessings to you, LD and the family. Love you guys, xoxo, Susie
