Up Dates......

I can tell all of you that Lynzie has pneumonia. Here's my sweet granddaughter in her hospital bed with oxygen. She is smiling in this photo, but has been crying so much.
She is missing this little guy. Her baby boy. He has had sniffles and cutting new teeth , which is making him fussy.
This is our view on Saturday morning. I was surprised that everything was covered in a fresh snow.
This is Saturday late afternoon.....every bit of the snow was gone.  Hard to believe it is even the same day.
This was Saturday's sunset.  Now I could learn to  like snows that come and go in one day. LOL
It seems that many of my family are sick . Liz seems to think it's bronchitis. All her children are sick.  I am praying  for all of them and that Lyznie gets well soon. It's heart breaking to know how badly she misses her son, while she is in the hospital. Thanks to all who sent well wishes and prayers...I appreciate all of you so very much. You are the best. XO

  1. Prayers for a return to good health for all. Praying for Lynzie to get sprung from the hospital when the time is right. I think that little guy probably is a handful. How wonderful that she has good support for his care. I do like your snowstorms...a lot.

  2. Oh I'm sorry she's so sick and ended up in the hospital. We had a bug that gave us a bad cold that started late January and went through all of February. I had an ear infection and went deaf on that side and Dan ended up with walking pneumonia. A couple of rounds of antibiotics and lots of resting we eventually got through it. Your granddaughter needs to rest- even when home with her son. Pneumonia wipes a person out and it take a long time to really feel normal again. (This happened to me when my kids were 4 and 7 yrs. old). Isn't it great to get snow and have it gone the same day! We received about 10" last week but we're melting down now so I'm happy. Hope you are well- sorry I haven't been by in a while.

    1. Liz, I know that Lynzie is eager to get home....I hope she doesn't rush it. We are no good to others if we do not care for ourselves. But then you know how we mommies can be. Glad you all recovered from your illnesses. That is way more snow there than I ever want now. I loved our one day snow. :):) Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  3. I am so sorry to see this, but very glad she is being taken care of because pneumonia is a serious thing. So painful and I've had it several times and remember it well. Praying for her recovery and hoping she gets back with that precious baby soon. Bless her heart. She is wearing a beautiful smile in that picture.
Yes, that's the kind of snow to have. Amazing the change in one day. Love your sunset, as always.

I know she wants to hold her baby boy. Nonnie, I love these one day snows. Now I could go for a winter like that. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Judy, Some of the things going around are very scary. I am older enough to get the pneumonia shot and I did this year. I also got the flu shot. I wash my hands all the time. but people don't cover when coughing ....making it so easy to catch something. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  5. Aahh, poor Lynzie. I do hope she gets better soon. I bet that little guy misses his mom very much. Susie, I can't believe these snow pictures are the same day! When you look at the second picture, it's as if it didn't snow. Oh, it's so beautiful, and thank you for thinking of me when all that white fluffy stuff came to your home. I hope all your family gets well. I've had bronchitis a couple times before, and it is awful.

The sunset is beautiful, Susie, especially with those clouds. : )

  7. OH Susie, I am so sorry to read about the health issues your family is facing. Pneumonia is a terrible thing......for anyone of any age. I remember my daughter had it when she was around 17 and was quarantined in her hospital room. Obviously, Lynzie has to be very sad..especially knowing she can't be with her baby.:( I am praying for all of them as well as you. (Your photos are beautiful!)

    Blessings,

    1. Gert, I think Lynzie was so run down from working watching Max and being pregnant... all that did not help. She was dehydrated too. I am praying she gets a good report before they send her home. Yes, her hearts broken from wanting to be with her baby boy. Mark, her husband is a great one, always helping with Max and letting Lynzie nap when she needs it. It is just hard on us old folks to see this and not really being able to stay and help. Hope you are doing well there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, You are right about the rough winter for many. We were so fortunate that our snows have been mild and very few. But there's some nasty germs around that are knocking people down. I am thankful I had my shots. Our Lynzie will be getting to come home soon. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
      p.s. stay well.

    1. Diana, Our Lynzie is blessed with a good helpful husband...so that eases my worries . His mother has been watching Max...while Liz spent time at the hospital with Lynzie while Mark worked...it takes all of a family at times. I am sure you already know this. :):) Could you even believe that those snow and clear pics were the same day?? Blessings to all of you, I know spring is coming soon. xoxo, Susie

  12. Hi Susie, This post sounds just like my daughter's family over the last several months. In fact, she went to the Dr Saturday and found out that she did have pink eye, a sinus infection and bronchial cough. Came away with lots of meds, but is finally starting to feel better-now if we can keep them healthy. Hope your get healthy too.
We get snow that lasts just a day; today we are having strong winds and under a weather warning.
    Stay warm.
    Hugs, Noreen

    1. Noreen, It's hard on us when our families are seem to be sick all at the same time. Ted and I try to stay away from sick...so we don't get sick ourselves. But you never know when someone will cough on you. I am thankful for all good prayers and wishes for Lynzie. She is getting better and I hope the drs. tell her to take it easy. Her hubby is good about taking care of her. So thankful . Blessings to you and your family, xoxo, Susie

    1. Jenn, I have heard that once a person has pneumonia it is easier for them to get it again. I pray you stay healthy. Our Lynzie is getting better each day and may be going home soon. The snow day we had has to have been our best...it was snow in the morning and sun in the afternoon. I love it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  14. Hi Suzie. I am quite familiar with that kind of weather. Today it was in the mid 30's which seems like a heat wave compared to last few days.
I hope your family feels better soon. And I want to thank you for your continued support of my blog. There aren't many of you left and I do appreciate your visits!

Here you are with all the concerns of your own family - and today we got a card in the mail from you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Summer was so encouraged. You are such an important part of our 'family!' You are a wonder! Have I told you lately that we love you? Well, I'm telling you now!

    1. Linda, MY heart was breaking for Lynzie missing her baby Max. Yes, she is pregnant for her second son, due in May. Gaaa, she'llhave her hands full. She and mark decided when they married that they would have their "two" children close together, then no more. I posted about the day they told the sex of the baby. They are calling him Luke Benjimen ( I know that is not spelled right) ...it's like your son Ben. I better practice. LOL. I thought Summer would like some mail. :):)I am glad it make her happy. Blessings to all of you..I sure do love you guys too. xoxo, Susie

  17. Hi Susie,
Glad that Lynzie is doing better. I think with this crazy winter we have had where it is Spring one day and winter the next so many virus's are on the loose. We just have not had a good freeze to kill all the virus's. Hope everyone in your family starts to feel better.
    Hugs,
    Kris

  18. Kris, You are right. Our winter's been so mild it has not killed off all the germs and insects . First really warm day, all those flying insects will be out like last Spring. Lynzie is an R.N., so she is in the hospital around all the germs. Actually she is in the hospital where she works. :) So they better take good care of her. LOL. She is improving...so thankful for that. Blessings to you and yours, stay well. xoxo, Susie

  19. Oh Susie, I'm so sorry to hear this and I'm praying for her and all of your family. It's awful around here as well and some may not agree with me but looking at your pics is an example of why there's so much sickness. those are gorgeous pics but when we think about it, one day it's spring and the next is winter. How can anyone's body adjust, just my opinion. I'll keep the prayers going up and hope everyone gets better soon. Love and lots of hugs, xoxo

    1. Susie, It's Wed. morning now and Our Lynzie went home on Monday evening. They left Max at his grandmas(dad side). So she could rest more. You are rght, Ted and I had talked about this crazy up down weather...it's not killing off germs or pest either. Lynzie was probably worn down she is due to have her second baby in May and Max is still a baby teething. Yikes. She will soon be very busy. So I hope she rests everyday. Blessings, hope you are doing well. xoxo, Susie

I had pneumonia as a kid, and even then, I remember being very weak after I had recovered, so remember I said to take it easy, even when she thinks she is better!
