Our Weekend.....

Max has a new hat....:):) Our  adorable great grandson.
He has had a some egg hunts. I wish I could have seen these in person.
This is Easter, he is still wearing his hat and tie.
Looks as if Max won't be putting those eggs down.

This is my grandson Jake, home from his trip to Florida. He and a friend went to visit his sister,my granddaughter Sierra. This red haired boy can't be in the Florida sun too long.
This is granddaughter Savannah. Her hair color is fading...but I like it like this...not so dark with crazy color. Such a sweetheart. Now this is a fair skinned beauty who needs to watch herself in the sun.
This was the setting sun on Easter evening.   I truly had a wonderful weekend. Ted and I had an early start to our weekend. We met  daughter Karen for lunch on Thursday.   Ted had lunch out on Friday and I cleaned house.  Saturday, I joined my daughter Karen for a soap making demonstration, at a church near where she lives. Then Sunday lunch. We received many good Easter wishes from family and friends. That is always so nice.
Hope this week is good for all of you. XO

  1. i can see you had a splendiferous gathering with all your Lovies!! That Max is a charmer in his spiffy hat and tie, and do you know, I've jokingly been telling Chris I'm getting my hair dyed that pale pink---it's going a light gray-brown, with all these silver wires, and sometimes I just want to do something daring.

Many many more lovely times with your friends and family---you deserve ALL the joy there is.

  2. Susie, it sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Max looks so cute in his hat and tie. They sure do grow up fast. Savannah is pretty in PINK. What a beautiful sunset on Easter. I saw a glorious sunrise Easter morning. The soap making sounds fun. I have a blog friend who does that and sells them.

A happy week to you, Susie.

  4. It's so fun to watch those little ones hunt eggs. Such excitement. And all spiffed up in that hat, too. I sympathize with the fair skin can't take too much sun. Skin will match her hair! I'm so glad you had such a lovely weekend. That sunset is gorgeous. Blessings to you.

    1. Nonnie, I truly enjoyed my whole weekend. It just gave me such a happy feeling, like the old days when my children were little and I still had my parents. It was being with my girls, some of the grands, and the wonderful weather and flowering trees...so many signs of spring. Hope you had a great weekend also. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. Cute little Max! Looks like he was having a grand old time. I was trying to remember how long ago it was that I attended a soapmaking class - and the rest is history! Although I have never given a class because of the dangers of mixing the lye. Hope you had a wonderful Easter. Sound like it! xo

    1. Judy, I just loved my weekend. It has left me with joy in my heart. I did not know there was so much work involved with making soap. The girl had the lye mixed before we got there...she did the soap making and explained as she went along. I do not think I will be making any.:):) I did enjoy the class though. Blessings to you, I know you work hard at your soap making now. :) xoxo, Susie

  9. Sounds like a lovely Easter weekend! I am recovering from ours and from Quad Monday today which went very well. It rained all afternoon so it was a good thing we worked in the flower beds when the quads first arrived as we spent the rest of the day in the house. That doesn't happen often!
I love seeing pictures of your family....GREAT grand??? Somehow I didn't know THAT!

  11. Easter egg hunts are so fun to watch with the little kids. I was telling my neighbor how I remembered her getting up early to put the eggs out and I loved seeing the excitement in her kids faces.

    1. Ann, my parents would hide the hard boiled eggs over and over ..so funny. They would be cracked by the time the fun was done. I would hide my children's basket and they would find them on Easter morning. Simple joys mean so much. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Oh Nancy, you are so right. I love how my granddaughter and her husband are such good parents. They talked about how close they wanted their children and Max will be 17 months old when the new baby is born....and omg...my daughter told me today that Lynzie is dialated at 4 cm. so it surely will be soon. It is another boy...so they better save that hat and tie. LOL. Hope you are doing well and enjoying your spring. xoxo, Susie
