Camping & The Zoo.....

This is a Barbie doll camper. It belongs to Emma, who hasn't played with it for years now.
It's fully  equipped .  A little pull out has the kitchen. Layla plays with this camper when she visits with her grandmother (Gigi), my daughter Liz.
Well have you ever been stuck camping?? Here's Liz getting Max out of that little Barbie doll camper. He thought he could get in and he did, but he could not get back out.  We could not help but laugh. :):)
Max and his older cousin Layla.  Max is as big as Layla.  Their parents took them to the zoo in Lafayette. It has a petting zoo also.
A young assistant is showing them a lizard.  This is the same zoo that has the boa constrictor named , Julius Squeezer.

Here's Max and Layla with the baby goats. They are pygmy goats. There's hand sanitizers and wash stations for everyone here at the zoo.
The little ones sitting on the big caterpillar statue, at the butterfly exhibit.
Now they are enjoying their picnic lunch. Looks as if Layla is toasting to a great day at the zoo.
Conked Out !!  Baby Luke asleep and big brother Max wore out and asleep . I am almost positive that Layla was asleep before her parents got her home too.  My granddaughter Lynzie is so good about sharing her little family trips with us. I so appreciate the pictures and tales of their fun times.
Today I could get out of bed without my ankle hurting. I am smiling about that my friends.  I will not over do for a few more days. :)
It was 54 degrees this morning...can't even believe it.  Sweet time to open windows and air out the house.  Well, I need to water my container plants. Wishing all of you a great start to a brand new week.  XO

    1. Cindy, I think of Max getting into everything now...Oh my gosh, poor Lynzie. That was so funny. I would have loved seeing a movie of him getting into that camper...once he put his head in , he could not get out without his Gigi's help. I have a video of him dancing that just makes me laugh. He loves to dance to the Jeopardy theme. Cindy, Kris of Junk Chic Cottage is going to try to be at Horton's on Friday...she is from the Chicago area...would you like to try to come on Friday the 7th of July to Horton's French Market? Bless you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Cheryl, Lynzie is a good mommy. She lets Max have his toys in the living room. So he has to get into the toys at his grandmothers. I think of him in that camper and can laugh out loud. My ankle is slowly getting better. I do not even remember spraining it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  16. Susie...I'm so sorry to read about your ankle. I remember Tom did that once and it does take a long time to heal. Be sure to keep it elevated and iced once in awhile. This was a cute post. Love all those babies we have in our lives.. I HOPE to get a post put up soon.
    Prayers for a speedy recovery.

  17. Hi Susie . . . So sorry about our ankle, but happy that it's feeling better, now. I am still laughing about your poor little stuck camper. I'm sure it wasn't funny to him, but certainly a Kodak moment and one you can share with his bride some day, LOL

  18. That is the funniest picture of Max in the Barbie doll camper. How in the world did he get in there - it looks much smaller than him? haha Kids do the funniest things. These are cute pictures of Max and Layla. I think they will be close growing up. I'm glad to hear that your ankle is feeling better. 54 degrees is such a nice day. It's much hotter here. I have the air conditioner going most of the day, but turned off at night. : )

Enjoy the last days of June, Susie.

    1. Sheri, I wish the girls had made a video of Max getting into the camper. I bet he was upset once he realized he could not get out on his own. We all have laughed about it. I hope Layla and Max will be close. Lynzie(Max's mommy) and Jake (Angie's son) are first cousins and so close..they used to only get mad if one sat closer to me than the other could. LOL. Love those kids so much. Yes, finally my ankle is much better. But I still take time off it...so I don't over do. Sheri, I think of you when I see the wild fires...and I pray for all in the way of them. Be safe. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie
