Some Days Are Golden....

Six thirty this morning. Oh yes, I am loving these longer daylight hours.
Low humidity this morning, sweet and cool.
My flowers are loving the heat though....well as long as I give them some water.
Marigolds and petunias, to go with  my yellow this year. These sit on a bench made of an old fence post.
I had petunias with this potato vine and took them out, the vine  needed the whole container.
More of the yellow petunias and marigolds on the porch. I did paint the stand, pot and cement ball all gray.
Speaking of paint...I painted the stars from the shed front and the old watering can. Here's the cans of tan and brown to paint the shed. Our next project. Hoping to get it done very soon.
I am not in love with blogger's changes or windows ten and all their "latest" up-dates. Takes forever for my pictures to load. You all know about  not receiving notice on your email about any comments we leave on each others' blogs. That stinks.  I feel better getting that whining finished. LOL
Wishing all a beautiful day. XO

  1. What a pretty view early this morn. Don't you love the cool mornings when the humidity is low? Your flowers are doing so well. Beautiful. Blogger changes are very frustrating...Lots of weird problems for me yesterday with blogging. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. xoxo

  3. Your flowers are beautiful and I do enjoy the summer mornings. I got out this morning to wash windows! What fun! The blogger comment problem is indeed a problem. Trying to remember to check the little box. I also had to change my setting for comments. Think I have it now.

    1. I am not even sure how to go about fixing some of our problems here. Windows 10 keeps wanting to up-date and I have already let them do that yesterday evening. Making me nuts. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. A beautiful and serene start to your day Susie :)
Your flowers are doing so well, ours started out full and happy but this heat and humidity are taking a toll ….
Even the garden center tells me they are having a hard time keeping the flowers nice without wilting.
Love the barn stars and old watering can, so nostalgic.
    Stay cool !
    Hugs,

    1. Thank you Laurie. I slap some paint on faded things and make them last longer and look new. I think we had a couple weeks of spring then it went right to the 80's and 90's. I do love the longer days...that's what is so sad about winter..not enough daylight. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie

    1. Arlene, I do not always agree that change is good. Not for an old girl like me anyways. I need some classes in computer tech. I just can't seem to finish decorating all at once...it just goes on and on. I stained the porch floor two years ago and the blistering sun has faded it already. I need to do it all over...in the mean time we are working on painting the shed...never ending work...this is retirement. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Lisa. I thought I would go with the color yellow as I kept seeing pretty touches of it in blogs. My paint was a bit bright but it worked with the gray and cream colors. I do love the pale yellow of the petunias. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  18. Your flowers are doing so well and are so pretty. I did a few planters of yellow petunias this year too. The colors are so vibrant. Loving this nice weather. Hoping with the rain moving out my flowers will bounce back some. They have really taken a pounding with all the rain. Happy Father's Day Weekend to your Hubby.

    1. Missy, I was shock at the weather your state received. We sure could use an inch of rain. It won't be this weekend...it is going to be very hot. The forecasters were talking heat index..that means hot. Makes me slow as a snail.:) Stay cool friend, Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  21. Haha, whine all you want, my friend. I'm right there with you. Love all your cheerful flowers, Susie. Is that Clematis I spy? Gorgeous! Sprucing things up -- as with your shed project -- is fun and so rewarding isn't? Lots of work, too, but so worth it in the end. Enjoy these warmer days. I know what you mean about the mornings, that's what I experience here in our new state of Texas. The mornings are beautiful where we are. Low humidity, lots of sunshine and a cooling breeze. Perfect! Hugs, sweet friend. Continue to enjoy life, as I know you do!
