Fabric.....

I went to Jo-Ann's fabric and craft store early Saturday morning.  I bought some fabrics to make scarves.
This is one piece, it goes from the darks of midnight blue/black to yellow.  I think it's a poly material.   I liked the bright colors .
This piece feels like a stretchy t-shirt material. I may not even make a hem in the sides...may just cut some fringe at the ends and let it roll at the sides. I like that effect. It's sporty looking.
Another piece is like an oil painting watery poly.  More winter looking. This piece with the gray, purple and ice blue is the one I really like. It's more like an old fashioned nylon scarf material.  I like the gray in it.  I'll make a rolled hem on it.  Or who knows, I may just be ever so lazy and wear them as is. LOL. I'll show all of you...that will make me be more responsible.
We had a thunder storm last night. I's cloudy today.  May take my Teddy Bear to lunch.  Good wishes for all of you, XO.

  1. I love all of the material, lovely colors, they will make pretty scarves. JoAnne's have a great selection, when I was making bunting for my granddaughter's wedding, I bought all of my material and supplies there.
    Happy sewing.

    1. BJ, It's so much cheaper than buying them.. I like a smaller scarf at times too. I do not wear as much jewelry as when I was younger, so I like a scarf once in awhile. I hope I can make them LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Picking fabric was harder than I thought. I was looking for something with gray in a light weight. I hope I like it once I start sewing. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. Susie, I love Jo-Ann's, and go there often, especially for their wonderful season decor. I really like the oil painting looking material you chose for the scarf. The girls love to wear scarves during the cold winter months. These scarves would be nice gifts to give to family, Susie.

    Have a great week.

    1. Louise, I honestly was amazed at all the crafting things they had...I emailed my daughter about it...she said she has gone to the store near her and bought many of her jewelry things there. I did not even know. I just loop one slipknot most often if the scarf is short enough. I am not so into the bigger scarves. I love the looks of one. I do not wear so much jewelry any more so I like a scarf to dress up or accent things. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  10. Truth be told, I know nothing about fabric. However I know in about 4 months I'll be wearing one.
    It's 85 outside as I write this at about 7 p.m.
    OK I'm just stalling now.

  12. I love a scarf. I'm so hot-natured that I can't really wear them in the summer, but I wear one almost everyday in the fall and winter. Such an easy accessory.
