The hydrangea is doing well. Not as well as I would like, but it did bloom. I will save the flower head when they dry.
Hostas are still doing well. I need to separate them to make more plants.
The black eyed susans are fine. I brought a plant from when we lived in town.
I will say these and the pachysandra that I brought from our place in town , have done well here. I miss all the tulips I had in town. Of course they are not blooming for the people who bought the house either. :( I don't think they do much gardening ....as some things are over grown in some of the beds there. Well, I know , I should not talk...LOL... Some of my mums are over grown also.
I actually sat on the porch yesterday and wrote my sister a letter. It was nice out, low humidity and I had the fan going, so no bugs. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. XO
Happy Sunday Susie. Love your flowers. I need to separate out my hosta's too. They need it. Your black eyed Susan's look wonderful. Have a great new week.

Kris, I told my daughter about your post today...the new white table and chairs ...She has an old black one that needs to be painted too. I need to split that bright green hosta to get more plants...they may take a year to get big again but it works. Hope your new week is a good one and that this month will make up for June and July.:) xoxo,Susie
DeleteMy Annabelle Hydrangea did great but my Nikko Blue had one...yes one bloom only?
ReplyDeleteMy black eyed susans are doing great too!
Hi Ann, I have missed you. Hope you are doing well. It's not been the best of summers...but oh my this weekend has almost made up for the lost weekends, due to rain. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour flowers look wonderful, Susie.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how the Black eyed susan multiply? Summer is slipping away so quickly!
Have a relaxing Sunday dear friend.

Hi Debbie, Hasn't this been the best weekend ever?? I have loved every minute of it. It's been a rough summer for our flowers...but I am trying to enjoy the ones that are tough. LOL. I love seeing your hollyhocks and roses so much. Blessings to you and yours for a fun new week(month Too) love you, Susie
DeleteI love spending time sitting outside! It has to be early or late here to do so. I'm about to go out in the back to water and hang out with Logan and Kailey before it gets too hot! Finally it is AUGUST!! Next comes September!
ReplyDeleteLinda, This weekend has been the best of summer for me. Both days have been great weather. I did get a few things done...plus got to sit outside in and out of the sun...writing letters and doing puzzles, while the birds sang. Loved it. I hope you are enjoying your little girls. I wish I had a couple little sweetie pies to hug....I miss my kids being small...is that crazy or what. I bet you'll be getting your fall décor ready soon. LOL. Love you, Susie
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI just love Black Eyed Susan's. :-))
Hi Carla, If you lived nearby, I would share my plants with you. Blessings for a wonderful new week...oh and new month. xoxo,Susie
Deleteyour flowers are lovely, sometimes it hurts to drive past where we once lived, doesn't it,, have a great Sunday,,
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I try not to go by our old house much...at first I did lots...I miss that house so very much. It is where I raised my daughters . ...it was a block and half from my mother's house....I just think of all that fun and love and miss it. I have loved this whole weekend. The weather's been just about perfect. Hope you enjoyed your weekend also. xoxo,Susie
DeleteVery pretty photos, Susie. I often think back to some of the plants we've had at different houses over the years. We had a cool morning today with low humidity and I really enjoyed it! Glad you had a nice time on the porch. Have a nice evening. xo
ReplyDeleteMildred, This weekend has made me feel like a new woman. I have enjoyed both days. Been outside sitting in the sun...just a little, then back into the shade. Wrote letters and did puzzles, while listening to birds. Hope you have had a good weekend too. Love you, Susie
DeleteSusie - your flowers look great. The heat has just about ruined all of mine - even watering them everyday. It has been so hot here.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Judy, I am like chasing my own tail trying to keep up with watering or not watering. LOL. Not a good year for container plants here. Bless you, stay cool. xoxo,Susie
DeleteOh your flowers are so pretty! I love those black eyed Susan's. I see our neighbor has them. I always smile when we drive by them!
ReplyDeleteGert, You are such a sweetheart...I think you smile all the time. :):) I know you must have your bad days but you never let them get you down. The nice black eyed susan I ever grew was near a downspout, at the southeast corner of our house in town...that thing got huge. so they love water and sun. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI actually had a very nice Sunday. The weather was picture book perfect and Arlene and I spent the evening on her 3rd floor porch watch the stars and the planes coming and going from town. Arlene even saw a shooting star which I have never seen. We also partook of some liquid refreshment. She had a glass of wine and I had a bottle of Sam Adams. Just one.
ReplyDeleteWell you sure have a green thumb. Beautiful flowers.
Boston Boy, I would sit on that 3rd story porch all the time. LOL... especially when there's things going on with the moon , stars and planets. What a good view you would have. So glad you and Arlene are such good friends and enjoy each other's company. We all need great friends. Blessings to you both, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI'm so glad you wrote a letter to your sister, Susie. I love hand written letters, and I'm sure she will appreciate it. It seems that no one ever sends cards or letters any more since everything's on the computer, but I still love getting mail AND sending mail.
ReplyDeleteYour black-eyed susans are coming along nicely. They look great.
