Teddy Bear holding great grandson Max. His first time holding the new baby.
I got to hold Max a while. I like how he's looking at me. :):) He had his clothes changed 3 times while I was there.
Here's baby Layla with her mommy Emily. Layla was teething and not in good spirits. Getting pictures was an impossible task for me on Christmas day. All the girls trying to get everything ready and when the last daughter and her family come...it's time to eat, so gifts can be given and everyone headed off for another gathering. Not like the old sweet days when we would linger all day and into the evening at mommy's house. Miss those times.
I enjoyed seeing all my family and having short visits with this one and that one. But I feel kind of sad that the time went so quickly.
Ted's working today at his part time job. Rain in the forecast. I am suppose to go to Angie's for lunch today. So I better get busy here.
Hope all of you had time with your loved ones and a fun day. Blessings. XO
Love this Susie! Merry Christmas to you and all of your family! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Betsy. I just know when I see the babies again, they will have grown ..they change so quickly in the first year. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
Deletethe time does go so quickly doesn't it,, we have a little one teething, my daughters 6 month old Violet,, your babies are beautiful, they are tiny for such a short time,
ReplyDeleteLaurie, Babies do grow fast in the first year. Think of all they do, get teeth, learn to walk and talk...recognize people and pets. That sweet softness of newborns doesn't last long enough. LOL. I love to buzz their cheeks just to smell their faces. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSweet babies! Hope you have a wonderful lunch. We had torrential rain for the last two days and finally today, a bit of sunshine!
ReplyDeleteMildred, We are in for days of rain and possible flash flooding...which makes me crazy. I worry about flooding so much. I loved my family time and holding the babies. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
Deletep.s. glad you have sunshine. I did get to see the full moon. Next Christmas full moon is 2034.
Beautiful babies! I love the photo of you with your great-grandson! Glad you had a lovely Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. I loved getting to nuzzle Max's soft hair. I think he was held about the entire time . LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLook at those precious photos of Max and Jayla. Love!! Love to see and feel the heart smiles as you enjoyed time with family.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs and wishes for a beautiful new year!!
Love,
Jackie
Hi Jackie. I did love every moment with my daughters and all the extended family. We were all together except for the two step grandkids. Blessings to you, hope your Christmas was a happy day. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou look beautiful! Wonderful time with the little ones, I'm sure. Yes, I miss the all days hanging out and doing nothing but enjoying family, but I'll take being close to them above anything.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I agree. Loving family time is the best. Family time needs to be squeezed into our lives as often as possible. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
Deletesweet sweet baby...we are preparing for a snowstorm to hit here tomorrow...I stocked in plenty of ingredients for hot, delicious soups. I am about 1/2 thru with taking down Christmas and packing it away for another year. Will finish tonight or tomorrow...about to take a nap right now. :)
ReplyDeleteBj, I can not believe you are going to have snow...it surely won't last long. I was going to take things down...but the rain has put me off. I have been writing, reading and doing laundry. Carried in fire wood, built a nice cozy fire. It's not cold here but damp...and I like a fire then. Blessings to you and your Mr....get a nap when you can. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteBabies look that way at me too, Susie! It must be because we are so GORGEOUS! HA HA on that for me anyway, YOU really are!!! xx
ReplyDeleteKay, Bless your heart, you made me laugh. I think you for being kind. Hey, I could be your mom, so I know you are young and pretty. LOL. I loved talking with Max and Layla...they do look right at me...probably thinking..she's crazy. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie
Deletep.s. I worried about everyone your way during the rough weather.
Susie, things do seem to move much faster now days don't they? Our Christmas Day is actually more laid back. We use to have a big family party on Christmas Day with my relatives. Now that a lot of my siblings are getting older, and live further away; they don't want to drive in the bad weather. We now make the rounds to all of the grands in the morning, eat breakfast at one of the kids, and then just relax the rest of the day. The great grand is so cute! Looks like he approves of your good looks! :)
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Jann, I never have Christmas with siblings...not for many years now. It's just always my daughters and their families. I do have a bit of time with my sisters..maybe a quick lunch with gifts. Glad you do get to be with family. Christmas isn't the same without some family around. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteGlad you enjoyed your family for Christmas. I loved that I had my family all together this year for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. That never happens with firefighters and nurses in the family for holidays. So it was a blessing and a gift to have that time all together this year.
ReplyDeleteHope the new year brings many new blessing your way my friend.
Kris
Kris, I can only imagine a harried time trying to get professionals together at once. My daughter and her daughter are nurses. We were lucky they both could be off work...but of course Lynzie is on her maternity leave. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeletePrecious babies! Looks like you all had a great Christmas.
ReplyDeleteJudy

DeleteKids make Christmas and how wonderful to have two little ones in yours. Ah... babies. There haven't been any in our family for a long time now. Glad you had a nice Christmas.
ReplyDeleteKathy, It just seems sweeter with little ones at Christmas. They are all loving . I truly enjoyed my time with my family. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat wonderful memories to be able to share with great grandbabies and all your lovely family!! The big day comes and goes so quickly...glad it was a good one for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I truly loved every moment I had with my family. The babies were added bliss. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI guess we have to treasure those shorter visits. Our celebrations were with each family separately . Maybe someday we can have one big one. Your grands are so cute. My dad was Max and my grandson is Maxton. If I told you that already, just overlook it, hah.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great picture of you and Ted holding Max. He's precious, Susie. And little Layla is adorable. I'm so glad you got to see all your family for Christmas. That is what makes special memories.
