Babies...

Teddy Bear holding great grandson Max. His first time holding the new baby.
I got to hold Max a while. I like how he's looking at me. :):) He had his clothes changed 3 times while I was there.
Here's baby Layla with her mommy Emily.  Layla was teething and not in good spirits. Getting pictures was an impossible task for me on Christmas day.   All the girls trying  to get everything ready and when the last daughter and her family come...it's time to eat, so gifts can be given and everyone headed  off for another gathering. Not like the old sweet days when we would linger all day and into the evening at mommy's house.  Miss those times.
I enjoyed seeing all my family and having short visits with this one and that one. But I feel kind of sad that the time went so quickly.
Ted's working today at his part time job.  Rain in the forecast. I am suppose to go to Angie's for lunch today. So I better get busy here.
Hope all of you had time with your loved ones and a fun day. Blessings. XO

    1. Laurie, Babies do grow fast in the first year. Think of all they do, get teeth, learn to walk and talk...recognize people and pets. That sweet softness of newborns doesn't last long enough. LOL. I love to buzz their cheeks just to smell their faces. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. sweet sweet baby...we are preparing for a snowstorm to hit here tomorrow...I stocked in plenty of ingredients for hot, delicious soups. I am about 1/2 thru with taking down Christmas and packing it away for another year. Will finish tonight or tomorrow...about to take a nap right now. :)

    1. Bj, I can not believe you are going to have snow...it surely won't last long. I was going to take things down...but the rain has put me off. I have been writing, reading and doing laundry. Carried in fire wood, built a nice cozy fire. It's not cold here but damp...and I like a fire then. Blessings to you and your Mr....get a nap when you can. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. Susie, things do seem to move much faster now days don't they? Our Christmas Day is actually more laid back. We use to have a big family party on Christmas Day with my relatives. Now that a lot of my siblings are getting older, and live further away; they don't want to drive in the bad weather. We now make the rounds to all of the grands in the morning, eat breakfast at one of the kids, and then just relax the rest of the day. The great grand is so cute! Looks like he approves of your good looks! :)
    hugs,

    1. Jann, I never have Christmas with siblings...not for many years now. It's just always my daughters and their families. I do have a bit of time with my sisters..maybe a quick lunch with gifts. Glad you do get to be with family. Christmas isn't the same without some family around. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  10. Glad you enjoyed your family for Christmas. I loved that I had my family all together this year for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. That never happens with firefighters and nurses in the family for holidays. So it was a blessing and a gift to have that time all together this year.
Hope the new year brings many new blessing your way my friend.

    1. Kris, I can only imagine a harried time trying to get professionals together at once. My daughter and her daughter are nurses. We were lucky they both could be off work...but of course Lynzie is on her maternity leave. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

  15. I guess we have to treasure those shorter visits. Our celebrations were with each family separately . Maybe someday we can have one big one. Your grands are so cute. My dad was Max and my grandson is Maxton. If I told you that already, just overlook it, hah.
