Gifts....

This is my new Christmas ornament....good old Charlie Brown. :):)
Lots of restaurant certificates.  Oh boy, Ted and I will enjoy using these.
My girls know I love to write cards and letters...so cards and stamps are very nice to get.
Oh yes, they also know that we love our coffee here. So a new cup, and lots of coffees . I was gifted some  international coffees too. You know I love those.
Grandmothers get candles, lotions and soaps too. :):) I am so thankful that my children know I like to buy my own perfumes.

New scarves and gloves too. Plus more things I didn't get pictures to show.
More note cards. Love them, can't wait to write thank you notes to all my children.
Nail files and ink pens...oh the pens came with puzzle books. LOL
Crazy snack foods for Ted. He likes all kind of flavored peanuts . A Package of Hickory Farms, sausages and cheeses.  Home made banana bread and chex mixes.
More food certs. ....we enjoyed all the things the children gave us. I can't even remember right now all we received....Ted put his things away as soon as he got home on Christmas day. What a good fellow. not  me, I like to look at everything for a day , at least. :):)
Hoping all of you are safe. Let's pray for everyone who went thru bad weather and hard times this holiday. Please be safe. XO

    1. Jo, I was a bit embarrassed unwrapping so much. I know there's nothing I need. The only thing I am in want of ...is time with the kids. But I love my coffees, note papers and really everything the children gave me. I am spoiled and blessed. LOL. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

    1. Debby, You know we reach an age...where there's nothing we need. I do love time with the kids more than anything else. But as I drink my coffees and write my cards I will think of the children and know I am blessed. Hope you had a good holiday. I know it wasn't as you would have liked...having just moved and the loss of your MIL. Hugs to you and your Mr. xoxo,Susie

  7. Nice haul Susie! Let's see, Dunkin Donuts...I think I have heard of them. Truly they are all over the place around here. I could drive to 4 of them in 5 minutes from my house and that's not counting the whole city. Good coffee, poor donuts.

    1. Boston Boy, When we were on a trip in your area...I couldn't believe the dunkin donuts stores. I had only ever had their coffee once before it hit the store shelves. It's good. Hope you get to enjoy a cup once in awhile. I like donuts...but rarely eat them. LOL. Hope you are ready for a new year...how many more days till the Vineyard?:):) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Jenn, I hate when I get a pen and it stops writing before I am finished with my letter. LOL. Just piddly , I know, but GRRR. You know at my age, there's not much left that I need or want. So food gift cards rate high on my list. :) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  9. Susie, that Charlie Brown ornament is too cute. Red Lobster - one of my favorite places to eat! You know, I've never tried Dunkin' Donut coffee before, but I heard it was good. They just put one in right down the street. I bet Ted loved all the snack foods. You received so many sweet gifts from your family, Susie.

I hope the new year is a good one for me and you. You are such a dear blog friend to me.

    1. Sheri, I think the dunkin donuts started on the east coast. You'll have to try it out. Ted and I love to get the eating out gift cards. :):) Really what do we need at our age. Hope we can all have a new year of good health and family time. Blessings to you and your family, love you, Susie

    2. Susie, I tried the Dunkin' Donuts coffee today and a chocolate donut! I thought it was pretty good, but I have to say that Starbucks is still my favorite. Do you have a Starbucks nearby? If you ever go there, try the Café Americano. It's not too strong, and that's why I like it.

      Have a blessed week, Susie.

    3. Sheri, I should have told you this...I never drink just one brand of coffee...I always mix ours in a big airtight plastic container.. I use Seattle's Best, Dunkin Donuts, Marsh Grocery Brand, and Starbucks...any kind. I just mix them Even the McD brand. Ted and I use to drive 40 miles and buy a specialty mix that a local coffee shop use to sell. No More we just mix every brand we buys or get together. I do think some coffee are way too strong. Bless you, love, Susie

But hey, we are always going to have to eat. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Debbie, One daughter said we were hard to buy for...I said a gift cert. to eat out or Walmart...anything like that is a perfect gift for a couple of old folks who have everything.LOL. She's the one who gave us Cracker Barrel cert. and stamps/cards. She also gave ted a golf shirt. I really just want the time with my children and grands, more than anything else in this world. Funny how our wants change thru the years. Hope you do not have real bad weather. We are flooding in the fields...praying it does not get any worse around here. Be careful when going out.
