Yesterday on my way to town. Just look at that clear blue sky. There was much happening yesterday, I went to the grocery for a few things. Do you ever forget stuff. LOL
Saturday evening as the sun was setting. I had just filled the bird feeders. I have not seen the hawk around for about a week now.
Love this orange colored sunset. The air had been nippy all day, but the skies were beautiful.
I always like the glow of the setting sun on the pines here. I know when it gets a bit warmer, there will be plenty of yard clean up going on here. :):)
Now it's Sunday morning , February the 7th. I can see the sun in the trees down by my neighbors, the Gordon's. Their house sits back from the road , an original farm house for this area.
I walked into the field across the road for this shot....there you can see the sun. It's going to be another wonderful sunny day.
Our clump birch. I love these trees. I really trimmed this one last May. I have yet to buy a telescoping lens for this camera and I need one. I better start saving. :) Since this is to be a nice day, I am going to get out and about. Tomorrow's forecast is snow showers...seems strange after the past few days of blue skies.
Wishing all of you a great day. Don't eat too much junk while watching the super bowl. I don't like sports on TV...so I will not be watching. Have a fun day. XO
Pretty pictures. Sounds like our week ahead is full of all kinds of weather.
ReplyDeleteDebby, I know it's not spring...but it's getting close...I am ready for it. blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSuch beautiful photos, birch trees are just gorgeous. We don't have them here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet. I have planted a lot of trees in the past 20 years. I love them. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteBeautiful post and photo's, Susie.
ReplyDeleteI am not a football fan so I will not be watching the super bowl either!
Hi Sylvia, I hope yuour weekend was a nice one. We had some good sunny days here. I can deal with cold as long as I get sunshine. Hugs to you for a great week ahead. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour pics are beautiful, as always. The sunsets are so glorious indeed. I won't be watching the super bowl either. Have a wonderful, peaceful and blessed day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nonnie, I hope your week coming is a good one. We may have snow for a couple days ...nothing scary. We have been blessed with some wonderful sunny days lately. I am loving it. 42 days till spring. :):) blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe have been lucky this winter. Your pictures look so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteHi Ann, I am counting my blessings..so thankful the big snows and rain passed us by. We had more than enough last year. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI am forever forgetting something at the store, so I pop into the grocery on the way home from work frequently. Stores are distracting places - no wonder we forget a few things. Love your pictures. How nice to have trees!
ReplyDeleteWhen my daughter Kathy got her license, she would do the grocery shopping for me. That was good for me. I know what you mean about being distracted. I always hope to NOT see anyone I know at the stores. ...cause I like to get in and out when food shopping. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe have been watching the games right up until now, so I cannot miss this one, Susie! Nibblies, dips and just overindulgence...for today!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI agree...if you have watched this long gotta go till the end of it all. My grandson was asking his mom for pigs in a blanket for his friends coming over. I just had to laugh about that. Don't be jumping around too much. :) Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteGorgeous photos!! Our weather is in for a nasty turn this week also....so I'll enjoy today's sunshine while I can!!
ReplyDeleteI think I am getting ready mentally for spring...I will be so blue if the snows last too long. LOL I loved your blog today. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteAs always, beautiful sunset pictures! I do love the bare branches of trees in winter against the sky. I would not care for a climate where the trees did not shed their leaves.
ReplyDeleteDewena, I love having 4 seasons n my year...although the older I get the shorter winter can be for me. LOL. I like looking at my trees all through winter. I decide which branches need a trim when they are bare. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe sunsets and sunrises in your area ARE glorious, that's for sure. Our trees look bare right now too during these cold winter months. I love that first picture of the red house in the distance. It looks like a red farmhouse, so charming. Do you ever visit your neighbor's Susie? My next door neighbor is 80 years old, and she still goes to the hairdresser, decorates for holidays, and tends to her plants in the back yard. She really inspires me.
ReplyDeleteHave a carefree Sunday, Susie.
love, ~Sheri
Sherry, You know what is funny...that red building is a barn...I have taken pictures of it before..and wondered why it was all by itself in the field. Well there's a house in front of the barn. LOL. I just saw it yesterday. Yes, I see my neighbor lady and her son .I have gone to lunch with the lady down the road...I like all my neighbors. There's nothing as sweet as an older person who loves to garden and knows all the plants. Blessing, love you , xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, your glowing photos are just awesome!!! I'll be watching Downton tonight. Is there a game on? Lol
ReplyDeleteJudy, Is there a game on...you made me laugh. :) I want so much to watch the Downton Abby series...got to get the dvd..to see it from the start. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

DeleteSusie...you take the best pictures. Of course we had much the same temps but not the landscape you have.
ReplyDeleteI hit the grocery store a few times a week, I buy just a bit since it's just me and hubs. And I plan recipes and dinner last minute. It was never this way before but I like it a lot.
Have a great week!
Jane
Thank you Blondie. We have one supermarket and a little grocery that a meat market more than groceries. So our stores are always crowded. I wish I had the grit to go shopping when everyone else would be sleeping.LOL. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
