A dusting of snow this morning. More on it's way....but nothing like the east and north east is going to have today and tomorrow.
This was yesterday afternoon, chilly but very nice . We had temperatures near 40 degrees this weekend. That just spoils me. :):)
This is my daughter Angie and one of her absolute best friends, Nancy. They were college roommates for awhile. Now Nancy lives near Vegas, so it's a wonderful thing when we get to visit with her.
Here I am with Nancy, she's like another daughter to me. Those of you with children know that their friends are an addition to your own family. Some times love makes a family as much as blood. Nancy and Angie have been friends since forever....so she's been part of our family for some time. So good to see her and catch up with her life.
I had a beautiful weekend , some adventures. I will be posting about that thru this week. I hope your weekend was a fun one . Hopefully this week will be nice for all of us. XO
such beautiful smiles!
ReplyDeleteThank you Laurie. We were laughing a lot while talking with Nancy. Such fun time. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteAlways fun getting together with old friends! Most of the snow missed us, too...but it sure is cold and WINDY!
ReplyDeleteLinda, We are getting the snow now, on and off. We sure had some great weekend weather. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt was a beautiful weekend...Going to get cold again and maybe a little snow!!Have a fun week..
ReplyDeleteMissy, We are having snow on and off . It's chilly and windy too. But I know spring is coming. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt sounds like a lovely weekend, Susie. Temps in the 40s sure do spoil us, don't they. We're down in the single digits again with snow falling, but that's okay. At least it's not November. LOL
ReplyDeleteJudy, you are so right...I would be whining if this was just start of winter...but I know winter is only here for 40 more days. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi, Susie! We may have some of that snow overnight. Who knows?:-) Always great to see "old" friends! - xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I had not seen Nancy sine her father passed away. That was a very short visit. This was also...but this was a better situation. We know these snows won't last forever. It's been a pretty mild winter. Lucky us. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYes, I know what you mean. I think highly of my kids' friends. Stay warm and cozy out there!
ReplyDeleteVee, It's like we have way more kids than we know. LOL. I have loved lots of wonderful kids as my kids friends. I miss them and often read about them on face book. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIsn't that the truth about your kids' friends become part of the family. My friends were always over at my house and got fed and loved just like we were. Great that you got to see Nancy.
ReplyDeleteKathy, My girls' friend would stay over and even go on our little weekend trips . Saw some more than others...but I think of them and miss them too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteFriends of our children are to be treasured!
ReplyDeleteMy girls have been blessed with some wonderful friendships...that have lasted all their lives. Those are like my own children too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeleteHow wonderful that your daughter's friend could come for a visit; sounds like a second daughter to me. Enjoy those warm temps; we may get some in a week or so.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Noreen, Some of the girls friends are forever friends and they are like my own . They have been blessed with great friendships. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIt's snowing as I write this. It was only a matter of time. On Christmas we were sitting on the porch in shirtsleeves at 70 degrees. It was bound to happen.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice visit.
Adventure?
Boston Boy, I thought of you when I saw the weather map and that stuff brewing near you. I like to say to myself, it's Feb. and I am sitting on the porch. I may have a coat on at that time...but it's fun. Stay safe and warm...get photos. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie..
ReplyDeletelove the picture of you and your daughter..
:)
have a wonderful week :)
Thank you Patty. I hope you are doing well. I can't seem to get on your blog site anymore. I will keep trying. :) Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove seeing a photo of you...and so happy that your daughter and Nancy were able to spend time together. Isn't it wonderful to have such a close relationship with your daughter's friend...so that she feels like a daughter to you!
ReplyDeleteYou are all lovely ladies.
Warm hugs,
Jackie
Thank you Jackie. It was agreat visit...as last time we were with Nancy her father had passed and it was way too sad a time. My daughter and Nancy has a great friendship and it is fun whenever they can have time together. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteGreat photos!! Don't you love being able to visit with long time friends? My daughter had a lot of friends that were all in college together or nearby and some of them worked PT together. Many of them called me "Mom" and I told them I was adopting all of them! :) Treasured times were visits from them when they came home to see family. I so appreciated that they took the time to drop by and see me! They're all young adults now, some with children. Treasures of life!

Pat
Pat, This visit with Nancy was so much easier than the last one...her father had passed away the last visit. It good to kno that her mom was doing well and had decided to stay in the retirement home she & her husband bought. Nancy said her mom has a beautiful church group of ladies ...That was a comfort to all.Nancy is another daughter to me. My girls had many true friends. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSnow coming down here now but I hear our place in Southwestern Michigan is really getting it.
ReplyDeleteI love my kids friends and they remember me back when I was young (ha!). You look so pretty in this pic, Susie...so neat to see my friends on their blogs! :)
Stay warm and dry.
Jane
Blondie, Some of my daughters' friend used to call me Mrs. Lastname. Now they have grown into my friends also...so we are all on first name basis or mom even. It was good to know my daughter had nice friends. We are having a few days of the on and off snow. Forty days till spring, that is a comfort. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt's 37 degrees here this morning, but thankful,,,NO SNOW!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like good friends.
Sylvia, I have some good friends myself ...but my best friend has passed on and I miss her so much. I am so thankful that all my daughters have some good and true friends...some are from their childhood . Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLOVE seeing pics of you and the family - and friends, too!!
ReplyDeleteYes, friends of the children can be like family also. So nice that your daughter got to spend time with her roommate from college. I think Angie looks a lot like you, Susie.
