This was the start of yesterday morning...some ice and rain. The rain actually melted the ice off the pines and there was no damage here. I am thankful.
The snow did not get here till around 4:00. But west of here, there's was plenty of snow. In the northwestern part of our state had blizzard warnings. I always pray people will not travel into those kind of conditions.
Once again our area was ever so lucky. We did not get the heavy snows or as heavy a wind . My daughters all texted me when they got home safely from their jobs. Again I am so thankful.
Today will be a warm day inside. reading, writing, doing puzzles. Maybe Ted and I will play some rummy. That's something we do once in awhile when it 's too nasty to go anywhere. Here's my little sign for today. LOL.
Take care everyone . Sending prayers and hugs to those in need. XO
I'm so sorry you're in the middle of a blizzard. We've been getting a little snow off and on these last couple weeks, nothing like your talking about though. I woke this morning with a little snow laden on the trees and the ground, but with our warm temperatures It will soon melt. Hope you have fun inside today, rummy sounds like fun! Enjoy the time with your honey!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and be safe.
Gert
Gert, Hope you are well. We are doing great...knocking on wood here. I can not believe how darn lucky we have been. It's doing little dusting type of snow today. But this weekend is to be more spring like...so the snows will melts away. Be careful when going out, even on the porch or steps...I walk around like Tim Conway did on the Carol Burnett show, scooting my feet. LOL. Blessings to you my sweet friend, xoxo, love, Susie
DeleteWe had rain, lightning and lost power as temps. here soared to the 50's and will now go back down to the 20's tonight!! CRAZY!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and I use swifter dusters a LOT!! I think I have stock in the company by now!! Funny though because after I took those photos I thought to myself that I should have dusted..
Have a great weekend!!
Hugs,
Deb
Debbie, I was not hinting that you needed to dust. I would never insult anyone like that. :):) I just thought you have so many wonderful treasure that would need care when dusting. Did I ever tell you, I truly hate dusting...I would sooner pound my laundry on the rocks. LOL We have had the oddest winter, I think. So fortunate that the big snows missed us.I will count my blessings. Take care, it's truly only 34 more days till spring. Yahoo. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour sign cracks me up! "Where's Spring?" indeed! I think Spring and Fall have an agreement. If we get a lot of pretty fall days, Spring promises to "pay back" with awful days.
ReplyDeleteGlad your loved ones are okay. Travel is so dangerous.
You know we had our biggest snow this year in November. There was to be more snow...but we are so fortunate that it missed us once again. Girl, I do not want to think about next winter...it may not be so lucky for us. Our weekend is to be more spring like...our weather is crazy this year. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove the sign in the snow! We were on the south side of town yesterday morning and it wasn't too bad. By the time we got to our exit, ice was coming down. Yep, I'm ready for Spring. I understand it's making a visit in Saturday!
ReplyDeleteCindy Bee
Cindy, I know you feel as I do...hoping for a spring that is not overly wet or hot...let us have some pleasant weather. The ice is always so scary. After the floods we have had in our area, I worry about flooding all the time. Hope to see you at Horton's next month. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHopefully the snow will melt over the weekend and you can enjoy some sunshine!!!
ReplyDeleteRicki, I think I will get to enjoy some of the sunshine. It will be so nice. Spring is truly around the corner. :) Blessings to you. xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your writing in the snow. Today we got a mix, but I sure enjoy watching it fall even though it did not stick. Living in GA we never got that luxury. I am loving TN. Able to appreciate all the seasons!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I am so glad you do like your new home. I love the change of seasons , but the older I get the more winter wears on me. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWow, what a difference in just a few hours. Of course, I love your snow...but, I do find myself hoping for spring, too.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, My husband told me not to count the days till spring , cause it would make me want it more...I think he was right. LOL I was some time in the sun. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteStay warm.
Judy
Judy, It's no wonder people get sick with the crazy temperatures. I am glad you came by today. I want to tell you I loved your post about your special bear. I can see why it means so much to you. Bless your heart, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI am SO glad to know you're safe Susie. When I saw where the storms were I was worried. I'm so glad you posted and let us know that all is great with you. Playing rummy with your husband sounds like fun. My husband doesn't like anything like that, so I have to get my card playing fix when my daughter Ember comes and visits. I love cards and so does she, but she is the only one of my four daughters who does. What's up with that???
ReplyDeletesending hugs...
Hi June, So glad you came by. I hope you are doing well. I know when spring comes to your area, you will be gardening in your lovely flower gardens. I am just ready to cut all the old dead standing flower brush back. Ted and I will play cards together, we have played farkle before...it's like yautzee. I did some laundry and Ted filled the big wood box at the back door today. We can always find things to do. My daughter Kathy is only one of my four that likes junking with me. :):) She lives the farthest away too. So sad. Blessings to all, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSo sorry Susie. We think we've had it bad here and can't compare to what you all are going through. I need one of those signs as well. lol Take care and stay warm. xo
ReplyDeleteSusie, I honestly feel so darn lucky when it comes to the winer snows and ..we just have been skirted past many times. I will count every blessings I can. I hate bad storms and I know it's been rough thru the south this year. I've been thinking of you today Susie, and praying some way , someone will be able to truly help you though the illness you are suffering. Hugs to you dear friend, love, Susie

ReplyDeleteCindy, I am not a big lover of hot weather. I like that 65-70 degrees stuff. LOL. My friends say, oh but it's a dry heat...well to me even a dry 80-100 degree heat is hot !!! :):) Hoping we don't go from one extreme to another, don't you? Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie
ReplyDeleteOver in the UK we've had a few good days and the early blossom trees are looking good. Not to say we still can't have snow - it's only February.
Have a good weekend
All the best Jan
Jan, It's usually nasty the whole of Feb. here in my area...we have had so many nice days to balance out the bad ones. I am just so spoiled now , I want pretty days with lots of sunshine and moderate temperatures. :):)Hope you are getting to enjoy the blossoming trees there. ReplyDeleteMiss I just hate the damage that ice can do to trees. I love this big scotch pine here. I love just looking at it's beauty against blue skies. We are in for a wonderful weekend and then maybe some 30's again next week. :) As long as it's not down pours or heavy snows, I'll take it. Blessings to you and the pets. xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, glad you weren't as hard hit as some, but looks like you got quite a bit of snow too.Strange weather. We have been promised rain today, but the sun is still shining..Happy Weekend..xoJudy

Sheri, When I saw the flowering trees in your posts, I thought it was spring time there. I hope you get to enjoy them...it seems their lovely little blossoms never last long enough. Today is pretty skies and sunshine...but nippy air. Blessings, love, Susie
DeleteSo glad you didn't get the awful snow and wind. I didn't either. Just some freezing rain...sleet and snow - total about 3" over the 2 days.

Jan, You must have gotten about the same weather we did here. It's all melted now. Today is a pretty day (Sat.) but so chilly. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jan
Spring! It is still February!
ReplyDeleteLike the pics! I love where you live. To live in an area like that around here...well I don't have that kind of money, then again New Hampshire is only about 20-25 miles away.
Boston Boy...you should know by now I am just plain whining.LOL. Today (Sat) Is a beautiful day and the air is brisk. Tomorrow will be so nice. Some rain coming our way. That is what I hate when the ground is still frozen. I need to look at the map to see how close New Hampshire is. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
