Visiting.....

A dusting of snow this morning.  More on it's way....but nothing like the east and north east is going to have today and tomorrow.
This was yesterday afternoon, chilly but very nice . We had temperatures near 40 degrees this weekend. That just spoils me.  :):)
This is my daughter Angie and one of her absolute best friends, Nancy.  They were college roommates for awhile. Now Nancy lives near Vegas, so it's a wonderful thing when we get to visit with her.
Here I am  with Nancy, she's  like another daughter to me.  Those of you with children know that their friends are an  addition  to your own family.  Some times love makes a family as much as blood. Nancy and Angie have been friends since forever....so she's been part of our family for some time. So good to see her and catch up with her life.
I had a beautiful weekend , some adventures. I will be posting  about that thru this week.  I hope your weekend was a fun one . Hopefully this week will be nice for all of us. XO

  4. It sounds like a lovely weekend, Susie. Temps in the 40s sure do spoil us, don't they. We're down in the single digits again with snow falling, but that's okay. At least it's not November. LOL

    1. Nellie, I had not seen Nancy sine her father passed away. That was a very short visit. This was also...but this was a better situation. We know these snows won't last forever. It's been a pretty mild winter. Lucky us. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  7. Isn't that the truth about your kids' friends become part of the family. My friends were always over at my house and got fed and loved just like we were. Great that you got to see Nancy.

  11. It's snowing as I write this. It was only a matter of time. On Christmas we were sitting on the porch in shirtsleeves at 70 degrees. It was bound to happen.
I'm glad you had a nice visit.
    Adventure?

    1. Boston Boy, I thought of you when I saw the weather map and that stuff brewing near you. I like to say to myself, it's Feb. and I am sitting on the porch. I may have a coat on at that time...but it's fun. Stay safe and warm...get photos. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  14. Great photos!! Don't you love being able to visit with long time friends? My daughter had a lot of friends that were all in college together or nearby and some of them worked PT together. Many of them called me "Mom" and I told them I was adopting all of them! :) Treasured times were visits from them when they came home to see family. I so appreciated that they took the time to drop by and see me! They're all young adults now, some with children. Treasures of life!

    1. Pat, This visit with Nancy was so much easier than the last one...her father had passed away the last visit. It good to kno that her mom was doing well and had decided to stay in the retirement home she & her husband bought. Nancy said her mom has a beautiful church group of ladies ...That was a comfort to all.Nancy is another daughter to me. My girls had many true friends. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
