Sunny Days...

I know it's been about a month since Spring arrived officially.  With the sun shining the past 3 days, I think spring may truly be here. I surely do hope so.  Ted mowed the lawn today...twice, had to rake it too. It had grown so much with the rain we had. After his shower and he was dressed, it was time for a good lunch.   So off to Red Lobster we went.  (Gert, wish you could have gone with us. ) I just could not eat my lunch. Gave most of it to Ted...who by then had eaten 4 biscuits.  Almost had to roll him to the truck. LOL

He basically gets the same thing all the time. Sailor's platter. Fish, shrimp scampi, and fried shrimp. Gets broccoli and a salad. This time he drank water...no tea.  I told him he worked up an appetite. Mowing and weed whacking. The lawn looks good...should have taken a photo.
Hope all of you had a good day. Thank you to everyone who commented on my blogging for 5 years.  I appreciate every one of you. You are my extended family. Bless you. XO

  2. I don't go to Red Lobster since I don't like seafood. But I usually give Joe part of my meal. Even if we are home. I have to get out and mow my grass soon.

    1. Kathy, I can eat broil or baked fish but not fried. I just don't like too much shrimp, I'll get chicken strips. Kathy, I hope your grass won't be as tall as ours was. Be careful. Bless you and Joe, xoxo, Susie

  3. Hi Susie, Your hubby's lunch looks so good. We are having a beautiful day here today-mid 70's, but tomorrow through Sunday will be back to rain and snow(yes, ugh!). We did get to fertilize the lawn though. Hope you have a great evening.
    Hugs, Noreen

    1. Noreen, I saw on the weather map that it was going to snow there ...yet again. I know you are ready for full blown spring so you and Hunter can take walks. Fertilizing may be why Ted had to mow the lawn twice and rake. The lawn men had been here about 2 weeks ago. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. BJ, As a kid I would have eaten any thing but greens...anything fried to high heaven. Now I only like broiled or baked seafoods. We get gift cards to eat out on from our children. They just about last us thru the year. So eating out is a treat from our kids. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Nonnie, Ted is not to eat too much shrimp...cholesterol.So we may eat at the Red Lobster about 4 times a year. The way Ted worked with the lawn, he deserved a big lunch. :) I like that your hubby and MIL shared their platter. Men who love their moms are usually good men.:) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Jo(e) I think the whole of the U.S. is sick of snow and totally ready for spring time. But the weather maps are still showing snow in places. Blessings to you, hope you get nice weather. xoxo, Susie

  7. I don't eat fried fish either since frying isn't very good for you though it doesn't stop me from eating French fries. Oddly enough even though I live in an area noted for seafood I don't eat it very often though I do like baked stuffed haddock. I haven't had a lobster in 35 years. I had a brush with a celebrity at a popular seafood chain, Legal Seafood, back in the 70's in Cambridge where we sat at a table next to Gene Rayburn (The Match Game). I grant you it's not like meeting Robert DeNiro, but it was fun to a bunch of half in the bag 20 something's. It turns out he used to live on Cape Cod and he died at his daughters house in Beverly Ma. I guess I got a bit off topic but the seafood made me think of Legal Seafood, then Gene Rayburn.
This may be the most disjointed comment I have ever left.

    1. Boston Boy, Hey I remember Gene Rayburn. Robert DeNiro is one of my favs. too. You know as kids we ate everything fried...and usually in bacon grease(poor man's shortening) I just like bake and broiled seafoods. I won't eat most seafood though. I did have two of those chedder biscuits. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, I do think Ted needed a big lunch after all his weed whacking and mowing. I just was not too hungry. It's always more than I'll eat. But I laugh at Ted for eating so many biscuits. He loves those at Red Lobster. Blessings, love you, xoxo,Susie

    1. Nancy, Our lawn does look great. The neighbors on both sides , mow their lawns down to the roots...that only entices weeds to grow. We mow at 3 inches, trying to keep our lawn healthy. Ted loves those chedder biscuits...too much. LOL.Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  14. Wow that broccoli looks great ...

The trouble with Spring is you so often get sunshine and showers and it makes the lawn grow. Many have had their lawn mowers out - it is the season for it.

Enjoy your Friday and have a lovely weekend too

    All the best Jan

    1. Vee, Spring does seem a time of work inside and out. The major part of cleaning outside around here is done. There are some things I want to touch up with paint. I like to paint in the spring. I have a ton of inside cleaning, sorting to do also. Bummer...can't even jump into that yet. Blessings to you for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie
