Sky Art....

Yesterday's sunset. I thought it was a red, white, and blue sky. Just breath taking..
It had rained again in the early evening.
This is looking east.... softer colors.
I hate that power lines are in my sky shots at times. LOL
Then back to the west. The patches of blue showing thru the clouds were just unbelievable.
This is toward to southwest. This is for Lavender Dreamer, Diane.  Absolutely  her color.:):)
Then to the north. I could have stayed out till dark watching the clouds change .
Here the rain is pouring down earlier. Beating my flowers down...what to do ..haul container here and there for water , or not too much rain. Wears me out..so there they sit getting wet and beaten.
I have been going thru closets ...loading up for the goodwill drop. For a person who does not  buy shoes any more (shhh) I sure had a pile to give away. Only the sketchers aren't in those boxes it's other things like sandals and shoes...that I just won't wear any more. I even had a bag of purses...I am into the body strap purses now..no one can snatch it and I won't forget it. If someone snatches my purse, I'll be hooked to it and that's going to have to be a strong person to carry me too. LOL
We had a scare on Monday evening, tornado warnings for our area. We were in the basement about 20 minutes. A huge storm wall cloud came thru our state, and actually dropped down a tornado or two. They were not long lived on the ground or wide...which was not as damaging. The tornados were  in counties south of here and north. We were blessed. The weather and conditions around the U.S.  have  been  too much rain or not enough. Please keep those in floods and forest fires in your thoughts and prayers.   XO

  1. Susie - Gorgeous photos. Sorry about the tornado watch. Here in Oklahoma, it is just a given. A few weeks ago, I was at an Estate Sale and everyones' phone went off at the same time with a tornado warning and about that time the tornado sirens went off. I just kept shopping. I thought to myself - what a way to go - shopping at an Estate Sale. LOL Glad there were no damages to you and yours.

    1. Judy, You made me laugh when you said you just kept on shopping the sale. LOL. I am so glad that we can get warnings on our phones...you know those blasted satellites tv stations drop out when it rains. I feel the weather is getting more weird all the time. Stay safe there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  2. Your skies are so beautiful! What an artist God is! We are in our camper down on the ranch for some extra bonus days! It's rained here too but mostly it has been the pea soup kind of rain.
It always feels good to take a load to Goodwill but I usually go in and get more!

  3. The sky is just gorgeous! I couldn't even imagine such beautiful colors as God gave you in the sky. The first one does look like red, white and blue!

I need to get a couple of bags together for Salvation Army. There are clothes I know I will never wear again. And I've got so many clothes they won't all fit in the closet. Time to downsize.

    1. Thank you Carol. Glad you are well too. My daughter sent us a photo of that wall cloud from her home in town and it was scary. So thankful it did not drop a tornado down...although the clouds were dipping and churning. I love sunset pictures so much and God rewards me with some awesome views. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  7. Tornados were something to fear when we lived in Texas but I don't think about them in Oregon. Here it's earthquakes and tsunamis.

    1. Linda, It seems there something risky about living anywhere. I would worry of forest fires if I lived in the west. I hope you will always be safe. Does it ever get cold there? Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. So glad the tornadoes didn't touch down near you, Susie, and yes, the pictures and news from Louisiana and from California are unbelievably sad.

I thought we had beautiful sunsets here but yours are gorgeous. And that lavender one does belong to Diane!

I need to get rid of some shoes too. I only wear 2 or 3 pairs now.

    1. Dewena, Since I have arthritis in my ankles , I can only wear certain shoes...mostly sneakers...so It was time to get rid of heals, flats and slip-on shoes that have no arch support. :(:( I always loved my chunky boots and heels. Sandals are pretty much a no-no too. LOL, I thought those lavender clouds would be Diane's. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. Gorgeous sky pics, Susie, but I sure do know the feeling of watching the weather change for the worse and take cover in the basement. I have a table down there with candles, matches and flashlights.

Take care, dear. I actually read 2016 was the year with the least amount of tornados!

    1. Blondie, I have a tote bag that I put my camera, purse, flashlight and our meds into when we go to the basement...cause you never know. I am thankful for our rain, which OMG we needed so badly and ever so thankful no bad storms. I think it was the least amount for spring season. But don't you think our weather is crazy at times. The floods in La. (twice this year) are suppose to be one of those 100 year things.Take care and I wish you a beautiful weekend . Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  12. Oh no, tornado warnings! That would scare me, Susie. So glad all is ok. Your sunsets just move me. They are so pretty, and I especially like the one with the blue swirling around. That's so good of you to give some stuff to Goodwill, Susie. When we moved, I think I had about 11 bags to give to give away. Your deck looks so pretty after the rain.

    1. Sheri, If there had been goodwills around when I was raising my girls....we would have been shopping there. But I will say my girls learned to shop the sales racks and discount stores. When we all lived together we wore each others clothes. LOL It is a great felling to clean the closets out. My gosh I can see the floor of my closet now. Hope you are enjoy some time outdoors there. I worry when I hear of fires...cause I am not sure how close they could be to you. Be safe always. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie

  13. Hi sweet friend, I love seeing your sunsets-so breath taking! Glad you got some rain; also very thankful the tornadoes passed you by. We are getting some light rain thru next Sunday. Good for you giving your shoes/purses away. I don't have many pairs of shoes now or purses, but have a small pile of tops to get rid of. Have you heard of Bagaleanie purses? They are small but have so many pockets-I love them. Actually, I need to save up(they can be costly)and get another one. Have
    a great Friday!

  15. When I see your beautiful sky pics, I wonder how anybody could doubt there is a God. So much beauty the Lord has made for us to enjoy. I kept setting my purse down and forgetting it, so I started wearing the cross body purses too. After recently moving, we too are donating many things we don't need.

    1. Mildred, I truly agree with you. Only God could make a sky like that. I love my cross body purse. I just leave it on in the car if Ted's driving..that way when I get out it's already on. :) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
