Still Here...

The white wave petunias are still hanging on here.
This geranium looks so bright and fresh, here in October.
My little porch mum has bloomed out and looks  sweet. I have been gathering pinecones, that the winds have blown from the trees.  I like using things from our yard in decorating, when I can.
Look what a pretty ending to the day...this is from Saturday.
Our crabapple tree has plenty of tiny fruits for the birds.  I saw a robin yesterday in the hickory tree. I thought it seemed late in the year for him to be chirping. But I have seen them in the snows of March eating the tiny crabapples....so if he stays the winter I hope he eats this fruit.:):)
It's been a slow start to our week here. Ted is having the truck winterized, changing the oil, rotating tires, and topping of fluids. Then it'll be a trip to goodwill later. Taking in more bags of clothes and shoes. I had a sick spell and went thru many tests, the past month.....so my sorting and tossing stopped for awhile. Now I can get back to it.
Wishing everyone a great Wednesday. XO

  8. Sick spell?? How are you?? Really? I am concerned. You know Deanie went to the doctor for YEARS before they finally found out what was wrong with her! Keep at it is there is something not right! Bottom line - Deanie could have died from a lack of B12 - her body had been totally depleted for over FOUR YEARS! You cannot live without B12! Normally your liver will store 2 years worth....there were other physical reasons that prevented her body from retaining B12 and these have now been addressed but she will need injections for the rest of her life.
We love you and worry about you! You are not one to complain - so please continue on your quest for health! Love and prayers from Texas!

    1. Linda, I had a spell of sorts..just knew that wasn't me...so had the dr order tests. Last visit with new dr. did not impress me. He said I should be talking with dr. 2 in his office...I asked him, "Isn't he leaving the area?" Aren't you my dr?" He says well I saw you twice, and yes, dr 2 is leaving....then my new dr. had me totally confused when I left. They changed my meds up a bit. So I am getting blood work in two weeks and go from there. Bless you for thinking of me. I have asked for prayers so much for my family, I did feel right asking for myself. Blessings Love you guys, xoxo, Susie

  9. Susie! You'v been sick! Take care of yourself. Your flowers look so fresh. My wave petunias waved goodby at the first of July! They were doing so well up until then. They couldn't take the heat.

The dr. changed my cholesterol med and I think it's making be tired and foggy. It's a good thing my flowers have lasted so I can enjoy them. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  12. Hi Susie, I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit. I had lost my blog list in my sidebar and knew I was missing a few friends. Now, I'll make sure you get back on my new list I've put together!
Indiana must be a lot like Missouri. We still have robins too, I counted a dozen in the back yard yesterday. Maybe that's a sign that our winter won't be too bad. I hope so! My geraniums are also still doing well. The other flowers I had in back would still be doing well, too, if I'd kept watering them. But it got to be too much of a chore after a long summer of watering. :)
Sorry to read you were under the weather, hope all is well now!
Take care and have a nice day! xo Cheryl

    1. Cheryl, I hope seeing a robin late does mean a mild winter. For some reason I am dreading the cold gray days. I better be polishing up on crafting or reading. LOL. You know watering plants does become a huge chore. I have stuck some fake flowers in greenery in some containers.:):) But the flowers I posted are real. My foggy headed feeling comes and goes. It maybe getting used to my new meds..they are stronger. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  14. Those mums are so pretty. I didn't realize that the fruit was so small on the crabapple tree. That is such a lovely picture of it. I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, Susie, but now you can go back to your sorting clothes and clearing things out. I gave away about five bags when we moved, and it felt very good.

Have a blessed weekend, my dear.

    1. Sheri, There's many types of crabapple trees...our is a flowering crab and produces tiny apples the size of cherries. I did get a big bag sorted and another bags of shoes...where are they coming from?? LOL. I think I held onto some shoes, like heels thinking Emma and Savannah could wear them...but their feet are bigger than mine now. Poor girls. LOL. I wish you a beautiful weekend too honey. 15. your flowers are pretty and you are lucky to have them last so nicely for so long! I still have a few stragglers, but all my hanging baskets have been thrown out and the window boxes are dying out. I did quite watering them when I put pumpkins in the boxes with them. I admire the fall gardens that some people have with all the pretty mums. I have mums in my stacked pumpkins out front, but they are not big and beautiful! lol!
as for fires and fireplaces, we have a fireplace, but we dont use it anymore, it needs some mason work. but its cute just the same!
    have a great weekend !

    1. Viv, I gave up on watering some things too. I loved the stacked pumpkins you had in front of your house. I have some small mums just for decorating , I am not planting them . This year I think I'll cut back all my plants. Need to discourage Chipmunks around here. Blessings for a fun filled weekend, xoxo, Susie

  16. Susie, I am sorry that you haven't been feeling well. I am equally sorry that you have to change doctors. I never like that. It is like experiencing a divorce or a sorts. (I've never been divorced but I would think it would be just awful.) Anyway, I will pray for you tonight.

    1. Oh my dear, I hate to change drs. But I felt mostly ignored when I went in for a follow up..I had to part ways with my family doctor 3 years ago...she did not agree with the I.U. University Health group...so she moved on elsewhere. I miss her. Drs. just come and go now..no one seems interested in staying in a small town. Bless you, hope you are doing well...stay healthy...that's our jobs here now. LOL.. xoxo, Susie
