Baby It's Cold Outside & Inside.....

Oh no...it was time to get the snow shovel on the porch. Would you believe this was once a snow plow blade and I have worn it down to a mere shovel?  LOL.
This isn't enough to make that insulated kind of feeling. It's only enough to freeze your fingers and toes. This was Monday.
Tuesday , around 5:00 the sky was trying to clear.
It was good to see the blue skies.
The sunset was too cloudy still to be pretty.
A crusty dusting of snow on things here.
No one wants to sit on an icy cold bench.
Sending kisses and hugs to all of you. This cute little sign is in the boutique near my daughter's house.
Yesterday, Ted and I received some sad news.  Our friend Milt passed away. I had worked  many years,in the same maintenance  shop as Milt. Ted has been fishing and golfing with him for years.  Everyone love Milt and called him uncle Milt.  We always said , if Milt and the pope were standing together....people would ask, "Who is that with Milt?"
He was diagnosed with lung cancer and went Friday to see if there was anything to be done. It had spread to many places in his body.. We had just gone to visit him last Monday , hoped  for some good news.
Today the sun is shining ....hoping it lifts  our spirits.
Please tell your family and friends you love them today....we never know how much time is left for any of us.  XO

  1. Sorry Susie for the news of your wonderful friend passing. I hope I live long enough to see a cure for cancer. It effects so many wonderful people in our lives. Hard time of year to lose a loved one too. Hugs and prayers.

    1. Kris, It would be the best thing in the world if there could be a cure..I know early detection, radiation, chemo and some times surgery can do wonders...but a true cure or vaccine would be the greatest discovery. Thank you. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  4. You are so right, Susie. We are not guaranteed any day. I learned that all too well when my dad died at 64 years old. Now I'm almost 64 years old!

The snow is pretty, but not really my friend. I don't like the cold. Or ice. Try to stay warm. It's chilly, I mean COLD, here today too.

    1. Katie, We only just learned about Milt's cancer this month. We visited with him on Monday...he had already lost weight but looked alright and was talking about seeing the dr. on Friday...so we thought when his SIL called it was going to be a promise of hope. Milt only lived less than a month from his diagnoses. Too soon and too sad. I will pray for your friend . For you also. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  11. Susie, I'm so sorry to hear about your and Ted's friend, Milt. He sounds like a great guy.

Oh, the snow has covered your bundle of logs! Is it a light snow because I just left a friend's blog who lives in Massachusetts, and the outside of her house was covered in thick snow. Your wreath looks so pretty with the snow all over it. :) There's more rain to come here.

    1. Sheri, You would have loved Milt...he just enjoyed life and being with people. Oh I know our wee snow is nothing compared to a real snow...but It's is a cold one..Today (Thursday) it's one degree and a wind chill of about 20 below. There are warning of frost bite if a person is out in this for 10 minute or more. Wow, I am amazed at the rain you have had there. Be safe. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie

Your snow scenes may be cold and icy but they really are pretty! Especially that bundle of wood!
Tonight I went with Summer, Sabrina and Rayne to look at Christmas lights! We were happy it's cold because looking at them when it's warm just doesn't feel right!
