Early Gift....

I told Ted that I like this blue and white ceramic napkin holder....but it just wasn't right with my cute Christmas paper napkins.
So he went to  the shop and made this beautiful napkin holder for me.  Love that guy !!!
See the pretty Christmas colors clashed with this holder.
They look better with wood. :):)
A thin strip pf purple heart wood runs  thru oak..

This is what Ted just got finished with in the shop. Some nifty boxes with a sliding lid. The box will hold a fishing knife . Ted made all the men folk one this Christmas. He loves working out ideas.  He made the blades of the knives also. So proud of him.
Today the sun is shining and making people think it could be warm...no way. It's 9 degrees...up from zero this morning. With wind chills it is well below zero.  Time to be extra carful when going out...never stay out longer than 10-15 minutes. cover every bit of your flesh. Be safe .  XO

    1. Pilar, It was very cold all day and single digits tonight. But I am so thankful for the sunshine today. Some times seeing the sun just helps me thru cold weather. Hope you are enjoying nice weather there in the south. I was so pleased that Ted made that napkin holder so soon. I love to have a pretty paper napkin with a cup of coffee and a snack sometimes. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Try to stay warm. It is 18* here with a wind chill of 9*. Not fun.

So, so cold here, too, Susie. 5 degrees this morning, then made it up to 19 when I was running around doing errands. Snow and freezing rain predicted for this weekend. Thankfully we have nowhere to be. ;-D Be safe!

  14. wow, what a special talent Ted has. This napkin holder is so nice, Susie. Yes, I think it looks better than the other one. The boxes he made for his friends is such a nice gift.

It's really cold here today. I looked at my car thermostat and it said 35 degrees. It never gets that cold here. There was frost on all the lawns at the park. I can't believe it's 9 degrees there, Susie, oh my.

    Enjoy the weekend before Christmas.
