Fun Day Running....

On our running errands, we picked up Emma for lunch. Our youngest granddaughter is growing quickly and so tall.  She's 5'5" already.  She chose Dan the man's taco stand...for lunch. They serve more than tacos. There  were very few in the café yesterday.
Emma ordered curly fries and plain burger...me too.
Papaw ordered breaded tenderloin with the works. LOL
If we didn't  have our winter coats on, we could have pretended we were in a beach area with that cute cabana feature behind us. But it's Rossville, Indiana and so cold. That is the reason for our trip to Rossville...the weather today is to be a big crazy winter mix and we did not want to be on the roads. So we did a gift delivery to Liz's . She can take Max his birthday gifts for us.
After lunch we took Emma to Liz's work. It's the Alzheimer's unit at Mulberry.  I took some photos of their fish tanks.  So relaxing for the patients. When we arrived , a piano recital was happening in the cafeteria. Liz's unit was having some Dalmatian therapy dogs visiting. I did not get photos... I was excited myself to see them. So many spots and so cute. Emma love them.
I was told that the pink looking fish is dying, as he should be the orange color of  the other.
Here's a huge algae eater. He helps keep the tank clean. There is a beautiful Oscar fish in this tank , but I missed him.
Today was the re-scheduled  party for Max.  Look at his face, he has mastered ( a bit) the baby spork. (spoon/fork). He has a piece of banana on it and is so pleased with himself. I am hoping his parents and grandmother Liz will send me photos if the party goes on.  Ted and I will not be out on the roads, since we live the farthest away.
It's going to be a very cold week ahead of us here and I think all over the U.S.  Please drive with care, be safe. XO

    1. Karen, When I retired, I said to myself....there nothing other than an emergency that would make me drive on bad roads again. 30 years of it was enough. But now I worry for my children and grandchildren on the roads. I hope your week is not all snow and cold. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. It was a good time with our youngest grandchild. She's at the age where we seem a bore to her, I am sure. But we love her and hope it's making good memories every time we are together. Blessings to you for a good week ahead. xoxo, Susie

  3. Dalmations! That would make me happy, too. I hear you about driving in bad weather. I wanted to go farther afield to try to finalize Christmas shopping, but we have a special weather advisory and when I look at the radar, it looks like a giant green blob heading our way, just when I would be driving. Grrrr, so frustrating! -Jenn

    1. Jenn, That actually was my first time ever being so close to a Dalmatian. They were very well cared for too. Oh I just don't want to drive or even ride in nasty weather. I think when it's bad out only an emergency is worth the risk. Blessings, be safe and stay warm. xoxo, Susie

    1. Pilar, The weather maps showed the arctic cold going very far south. Brr. It is cold for us but being in the south it must seem even more so. My granddaughter lives in Florida and I wonder if she owns a coat. LOL.. Blessings, stay warm. xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Betsy. I old my husband today , if I lived near the Home, I would go over and help feed some of the people who do not even realize it's time to eat. It is heart breaking. Some just love to talk and some are barely aware of where they are. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Kris, This week is to be so cold. I just can't take to cold much any more. My blood must be thinner. LOL. I loved being with our Emma...as she walked ahead of Ted and I , I truly could see she was growing up in many more ways than her height. Our baby girl is gone, she lingers in my heart though. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  7. Sweet photos, and it looks like a fun time. Yeah, no one here is going out without bundling up too! We cancelled Advent at our house last night and told our kids to stay home, off the roads. Today it's fire in the stove, coffee, and maybe even pjs all day! Just staying put!
