Snowmen....

This is a craft I did a few years ago. Get a cleaned pickle jar, paint it a tan or pastel color. Paint a snowman of your liking. I made a country looking one. Dab white paint on his hat as a dusting of snow. Also along the bottom. Glue a votive candle holder into the jar top.
I also sponge painted a tree near the snowman.
Glued and tied a strip of plaid cloth around where the votive holder and jar top meet. I also wrote, "In the meadow..." on the back.
Another dusting of snow this morning and it's very cold. The wind isn't as bad, thankfully.
This is a cute snowman box I bought at the school bazaar two years ago. It has a flickering light in the greenery. I like to see him sitting in the corner.
Hope all of you are staying warm and driving safely on the roads. XO

  3. You are WAY more artistic than I am my friend. I better not paint anything on a jar or it will get filled with coal! haha! Have a good weekend! Hope it warms up. Hugs!

  4. Your snowman jar is cute, Susie. I haven't done crafts in such a long time. The girls used to have craft night and made the most wonderful things. Did the greenery and the flickering lights come with the snowman box when you bought it? I love to see your snow, Susie, even if it is a dusting of it. :) Stay warm this weekend. It's raining here today!

  7. That snowman candleholder is so cute! And clever too. I could never make a snowman that looks like that. I can't draw worth anything. I decorate my house in snowmen during January so all your snowmen would be perfect for that.
