Wonderful Sunny Days...

Look at this beautiful sky. We have had some perfect days lately. Our Catalpa tree is in bloom.
These pretty blossoms will fall off in a few days and it will look like snow in the back yard. If you drive along roads here in central Indiana  this week, you can spot these trees in the woods. Their blooms make them stand out.
I put some pink and white petunias into a pair of kid boots  that I painted blue .  We have this wooden wagon near the shop full of ground cover, Pachysandra.  Oh you know I have painted that little wagon many times. LOL
The peanut containers I painted like a flag were still good enough to use again this year. So I popped in some red petunias and put them on the old fence post bench.
I have this little figure made of terra cotta pots and his head broke. I can not find any of my little plants pots, so I painted a butter container and put some marigolds in for his hair. Hope it works. LOL.
More pink and white petunias and some dusty miller.
The same in this concrete planter that used to be my mom's.

Also in bloom here is my African violet, that my daughter gave me for my birthday in January. That's  a long time for me to keep a house plant alive. :):)
Wishing all of you a pleasant  day. We will be relaxing around here.   Enjoy your weekend. XO

    1. Mildred, I can remember when I first saw petunias. My soon to be MIL had them in big containers on her porch steps. They have a lovely fragrance if you have enough of them. I think they are a good summertime flower. I did buy a few marigolds also. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Karen, I put rock in the bottom of some things, but if it's plastic you can make holes for drainage. Today was another perfect day. :):) No to low wind, warm not hot, and no humidity. Oh how I love that. Ted and I drove thru our city park and rolled the windows down to hear the kids at the pool and ball diamonds. Love that sound. Blessings to you for a great evening . xoxo,Susie

  9. Your weather looks so nice lately, Susie. It's been pretty warm here, but then rained one day. Those petunias look pretty sitting in the rain boots. And I really like the containers with the painted flags, very creative. The white blossoms are lovely. The grounds must have looked beautiful when the blossoms fell to the ground. Enjoy your sunny days, Susie, while they last.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, We had a heavy rain on Sunday evening and some of the blossom blew from the tree. I'll post some pics. I some times think...go to Hobby-Lobby and get some things for the garden...then I think , people make stuff from junk all the time...use what you have. Little bottles of crafts paint are so cheap too.:):) I am loving today(Tues.) it's cooled down a bit. Blessings, xoxo, Love, Susie
