This is on Ellis island, where immigrants entered the U.S. till 1954. One lady in our group found her grandfather's name on the Wall of Honor. she knew the date he entered .
This is the view of NYC , from Ellis island. I think the U.S. park's department takes care of everything . They are in the process of repairing things all the time. I am pretty sure it's lack of funds, that some of the buildings were closed off to the public.
