This is a sweet card I got in the mail. It's from a couple that still live in the old neighborhood where I was raised. They have been married over 60 years. I just love these people. Jim is 85 and Anna is 83. I send them cards every once in awhile. Anna sent this card in thanks. She says it's nice to be remembered. She praised our mother for raising all of us and keeping us out of trouble. Well hey, mommy could slap faster than any Judo instructor. :):) If you know of any older people who may need a kind word or two, maybe you could send them a card today.
Also I would like to take this time to thank all of you for putting up with my terrible spelling, bad grammer and whacked out sense of humor . (as Teddy calls it) LOL
how very sweet and thoughtful!

Hmmm. Good thought. In our instant messaging world, perhaps we forget the ones who are unfamiliar with that technology. Thanks for the reminder. Hope you don't mind. Think I will add your post to my facebook page as a reminder to my friends.
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet. (((((HUGS)))00
ReplyDeleteI love your whacked out sense of humor...it makes you a keeper in my eyes. What a wonderful card to get from your old neighbors. I am sure they love you~ xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love your sence of humor, we all need a little giggle. I can't spell worth beans...I wish there was spell check on comments...I mess up all the time. The card is really nice, it is so good to stay in touch with those we love and have loved us. Bugs, ary...Tee Hee!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful. I love getting a letter. Wish I had someone older to write to ...use to love to get letters from my Aunts.
ReplyDeleteSusie, I use spell check religiously and a RN always has awful sentence structure. I have learned over these 2.5yrs and have cleaned my act up a bit. Always go over your post before publishing it is my word of wisdom. Joe eyeballs mine for me and that helps too. You are yourself and that is essential. I know your elderly friends love you to pieces.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me how much fun it is to give and receive just a little note. How sweet too that you've continued a life-long friendship with your neighbors.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture on that card. Emails are great for connecting quickly, but it is still nice to receive things like this in the mail.
