Blog Anniversary....

I have been blogging for five years now. Hard to believe.  This was the first picture I ever posted. It's Emma when she was three in their flower garden. It was an older picture because she was 7 when I started blogging.
These are some of the first photos I posted, when I got started. This was one of the post I did of houses I liked.  I still think this home is adorable.
This was a photo of when I went to Washington D.C.  It's a bus with a van mount on top ..I thought that was a funny sight. It had a rack of surf boards behind the van.
We did visit the White House. But there were no tours at that time.
My daughter Liz in her little blonde wig, while going thru chemo.  I love this strong girl.
When I first started blogging...I was impressed with Donna Reyne's (Jenkins) blog. I bought a shopping bag from her booth at Horton's and it had a tag with her BlogSpot address on it. I looked it up and wanted to blog too. So my daughter Angie helped get me started. I still need lots of help.
My first comment was from the beautiful Nana Diana.  I know that many of you bloggers know her. She gave pointers on blogging once..or at least after all these years, I think it was her. I did not even answer the comments I got at first...because I did not know what I was doing . Oh boy, now you all know I still don't know much about what I am doing on this site.
I just wanted to thank those of you who follow my blog and /or leave comments. I apologize to anyone I may have not have responded to their comments thru these five years. Some blogs I visit I can't leave comments....because  their sites won't allow me or I do not know how to get around some obstacles. I do appreciate all of you.  Bless your hearts. XO

  4. Happy Blog-Anniversay!!!!!

I can't have one. As I don't even remember when I began blogging. It was back in the 90's, on Live Journal.

Way back then, one had to have an Invite, from someone who was already a blogger. I was on an International Mailing List, and a young man in Dublin, gave me an Invite.

Can anyone today, imagine back, when one had to have an Invite, to blog???????

    1. Thank you Tessa. I never heard of International mailing list. That would be strange to have to wait to be invited. These youngsters may know more about computers...but some of the very young do not know what a phone booth was. But they are ever so bright and can learn. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. Re: Your reply to Janet

And Susie, please don't be worried in any way, about your blogging!!!

Each of our blogs, is our individual blog. Us. Not anyone else. Not done, by anyone's "Rules." Or etc.

    No apologies!

If you want to learn new things, that is fine. If not, that is fine too.

Please, be proud of your blog. It takes a lot of work, for we who were not born into the Computer Age. We should be very proud of everything we have learned. So there!!!!! ,-)

    Gentle hugs,
    Tessa
(Probably one of the oldest bloggers, around. -grin-)

    1. Tessa, You have touched my heart and made me laugh too. What is odd..I worked on computer at GM as part of my job..I could change out the mother board, sound boards and hard drives, etc...but had no clue as to how to make a program..I could get into programs and change up specs. on testing equipment. I do like the fact that we can bog of any and everything ..well you know, no vulgarity or meanness . I try to treat people like I want to be treated. Bless you , xoxo, Susie

  7. I started blogging on Spaces. When they closed up shop a bunch of us who had known each other for a few years all came to blogger. Though they all still have active blogs they haven't added anything in the last 4 or 5 years except for Toodie and my late, wonderful friend Beth.

I don't answer to comments only because once I comment I don't go back, I wait for the next blog entry.
I went to Washington in 1986 and I did get to tour the White House but they wouldn't allow pictures inside. I liked Washington very much.
I want to thank you for all your comments on my blog. I don't get as many as I used to get several years ago so I am grateful for every single one.

  9. Susie, yaaaay five years of blogging, how wonderful. And I'm so glad that I came across your blog because you are so special to me. Diana is a gem too, I just love her. Emma looks so small in this picture. And that van is really a cool picture. Bless Liz' heart for what she has been through. She looks so cute in this picture.

It's been six years of blogging for us this year. The time went by fast, didn't it? I've met some wonderful people along the way. And you are definitely one of them, Susie.

    love you,
