Good Days .....

The weeping cherry tree is ready to bloom.. Full of buds.
We went to Emma's house to give her a birthday gift. You can see she is almost as tall as me.
Here's an awesome little gift she received from her parents. It's a polaroid camera.
I know those cameras are nothing new to us old timers....but look at the cute little wallet sized photos it takes.  Emma was in heaven. I bet she snapped every photo with her friend and cat.  She's having a trampoline party with her girlfriends. I guess there' are  places like that now where people can go pay to jump around.. Next thing you know we will be paying for a drink of water...LOL
We had a slice of birthday cake, that was reserved for anyone coming by to visit. It's not the official cake....what the?? who has more than one cake ? These kids are killing me.
We had a lovely visit. Short but sweet. This was the sunset at the end of our Monday. Pretty.
This is the way the sky looks this morning. Oh happy day, the sun is to shine the rest of this week.  We have plenty to do to keep busy here now.  So I better get going.  Wishing everyone a good day, try to be happy.  XO

    1. Debby, I think Alaska had a better winter. Do you have snow on the ground. Ours melted the next day...but these past two weeks have been nothing like spring as far as temperatures are concerned. This week is looking good on the weather map in the Indy Star. :) Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

    1. Diane, Emma seems so grown up at times...I know those young kids want to grow up quickly...I always tell them slow down...all too soon you will be grown and working for a living...enjoy your childhood. I am hoping she willstick with her drawings, truly. She loves the camera. Plus she is in cheerleading and made the squad already for next year. I am glad you kept the little drawing Emma made for you. I know it makes her smile. Blessings to you Diane, you are such a sweet person. xoxo,Susie

  9. Happy Birthday to Emma! I remember my polaroid camera. I remember driving by the Polaroid headquarters. Somebody else now owns the name but Polaroid really doesn't exist anymore.

    1. Gert, I always laugh about buying bottled water , dirt for our gardens, or landscaping rocks...As a kid I don't think we could have ever conceived those things. Those things seemed plentiful in our own yard and home. Good for you having your water bottle in your purse. :) I love a good cup of coffee, but order water when I know cafes coffee is bad..we should not have to pay for water especially McD's. Yes, I too love seeing everyone family photos..I miss seeing Nana Diana's grandkids. I hold them all in my prayers. Blessings for a good day there, xoxo, love, Susie

  13. Happy birthday to Emma. Did she wave the polaroids around to dry them off like we did? Kids birthday parties are a little more over the top than they used to be, aren't they? I can't wait to see that tree in full bloom! -Jenn

    1. Hi Jenn, When Emma first saw a picture come out...she told her mom the camera wasn't working right. Liz told her to wave the pics around. I really like the sized and how clear the prints are. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  14. A Poloroid camera for Emma, how exciting! Susie, can I ask where her parents bought that? I used to take pictures of all the kids with Santa at a fundraiser that I used to attend, and we used a Poloroid camera for the event. I didn't think these were around any more. The wallet size pictures are cute.

The sunset looks glorious, Susie. With the colors, it looks like a big rainbow in the sky.

    1. Sheri, I will call Liz tonight and see where they found that camera. One of my blog followers, Boston Boy, said Polaroid wasn't owned by the same company any more. Another company bought them out and got rights to the name. I have never seen such a cute camera like it. I liked how very clear the pictures were and they are the size of those photo holders we used to get with our wallets. LOL. I will let you know what I find out. Blessings, xoxo, love, Susie

    1. Nancy, The company that owns Polaroid isn't the original one...but this camera is like the old ones, you still have to wave the photo to have it develop. LOL. My daughter said they come in blue, pink, and this color(Tan). Blessings, xoxo, Susie
